How Our Eyebrows Make Us Different

Eyebrows are what makes us different individuals. Some people have thick brows, some have thin brows and some don't have brows at all. I think our eyebrows differentiate us from different people. We all want to be different in own way and our eyebrows is one thing that makes us different. Now, I understand when people say eyebrows are important because they are. We tend to judge people who don't have "perfect" eyebrows or none at all. Everyone has something unique about them, it might even be their eyebrows.

I was born with no eyebrows and it was very challenging for me as a kid. I didn't want to believe that I was unique because I had no eyebrows, but I was. I noticed that I would always get stares from people because I didn't have any eyebrows and because I was different. A couple years ago I realized that people were staring at me because I was unique and different. I didn't have any eyebrows but, my confident and my self-esteem was high. I was finally okay with not having any eyebrows.

Just a year ago, I started learning how to do my eyebrows by drawing them on with an eyebrow pencil and sometimes I used eyebrow powder. At first it was hard for me to wear drawn on eyebrows but, finally I got use to drawing on my eyebrows and making them look "real" as possible. I got the hang of putting my eyebrows on and I somewhat got the confident I wanted. I was nervous at first about writing this article about my eyebrows because it is very personal. But, I realized that there are so many people in the world, who doesn't have any eyebrows and i wanted to share my story with people. Some people don't understand how hard it is not having eyebrows and people looking at you like you're a weirdo.

Just recently I got my eyebrows tattooed on my face. I decided to get my eyebrows tattooed on because it would save me some time trying to put on my eyebrows every morning. I think getting my eyebrows tattooed on was a wise decision because now I can have the eyebrows that I want and they don't come off. The only downfall about my tattooed eyebrows is the tattoo itself. That was painful. I could stand the pain but it did hurt a lot. But, I am happy I actually went through with getting my eyebrows tattooed on. Now, my self-esteem and my confidence is higher than normal and I really like them.

It was hard for me to share my story about my eyebrows. I never really talked about how I wasn't born with any eyebrows and about my eyebrow tattooing process. As I stated earlier in my article, I just wanted to share my story with other people. Thank you for reading my article this week! Next week, I will be talking about how pop culture influences fashion.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
