UF Students "Have A Dream"

7

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day earlier this week, we tried to think of everything that UF students have a dream about. While these topics may not be as pressing or important as ending racism, that doesn't mean we still don't hope they happen sometime in the near future.

UF Students have a dream- that one day there will be a Chipotle right on campus so that we can fulfill our sudden burrito cravings in between class periods with ease.

UF Students have a dream- that they aren't crazy, and those five questions on the scantron in a row really all do have the answer C.

UF students have a dream- that it is possible to go one full day without having a near-death experience with either a biker, longboarder, scooter or RTS bus.

UF students have a dream- that the weather will be the same when they get out of class as it was when they went in the building.

UF students have a dream- that somehow due to a freak seismic shift, Gainesville ends up on either the Gulf or the east coast and is right by a beautiful, warm beach.

UF students have a dream- that someday soon they will get a UF Alert that actually ends with the suspect being caught.

UF students have a dream- that personal nap stations will be constructed inside the new Reitz Union expansion.

UF students have a dream- that they are able to sell their $200 textbook back to the bookstore for more than $13.75

UF students have a dream- that local music promoters will stop creating the "UF Class of ___" Facebook groups and spamming them with advertisements for their events.

UF students have a dream- that one day, phone signals will be able to thrive inside The Swamp on game day.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer. And if you haven't already guessed, it's beer. There are few things I take more seriously than my beer, in order are: sports... and beer. Here are my favorite summer brews:

Bruce Springsteen's Top 7 Lyrics

Everything Bruce says in his classic rock songs.

19949
bruce springsteen album cover born in the usa

Anyone who was born and raised in New Jersey (or anywhere really) knows of Bruce Springsteen, whether or not they like him is a whole other situation. I hope that his hundreds of classic rock songs and famous high energy performances, even in his sixties he can put on better concerts than people half his age, are at least recognizable to people of all ages. Love him or hate him (I identify with the former) you have to admit that some of his songs and interviews have inspirational quotes and lyrics.

New England Summers Are The BEST Summers

Why you should spend your next summer in New England.

Marconi Beach

Three years ago, I chose to attend college in Philadelphia, approximately 360 miles away from my small town in New Hampshire. I have learned many valuable lessons away from home, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent in Pennsylvania. One thing that my experience has taught me, however, is that it is absolutely impossible to beat a New England summer.
