As one of the highest ranked college towns and happiest cities in America, Boulder has it all. Set to a backdrop of the Flatirons, Boulder's vibrant culture makes it a truly unique place. Here's a sneak peak into the interesting and fun types of people that truly make Boulder what it is.

1. The Stoners

Let's just get this one out of the way. Yes, weed is legal in Colorado and yes, lots of Boulder citizens love it. 4/20 might just be one of the biggest holidays of the year, and for good reason. Boulder isn't chill for nothing!

2. The Fitness Gurus

If you live in Boulder, chances are you either know or are a fitness junkie. With 300 days of sunshine each year, Boulder makes it almost impossible to avoid going outside and getting active. Core Power, rock climbing and hiking are a must for these Boulderites. Oh, and did I mention goat yoga's a thing?

3. The Hippies

Who doesn't love to hug a tree? Compostable cups, compostable bags, compostable everything! Boulder hippies make the world go round.

4. The Frat Boys

The likelihood of sighting a frat boy on the streets of Boulder is higher than you would think. They're everywhere, and sometimes they're dirty too. Chubbies and sports jerseys are the name of the game for these ones. If found, please return to the hill.

5. and Last but not least, The Ski Bums

Who's surprised about this last one? Within an hour or two of 7 major ski resorts, these Boulderites go hard. Fresh powder and good views are the only things they live for, so its a good thing the season is long. Shreddin' Gnar is a full time job.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
