You may have read that and thought this girl is still watching a movie series that ended 6 years ago. Well, I just returned to the series after seeing Twilight on Netflix. I rekindled my love for it and you should too! Why should you return to this questionable series? Because it’s so awful it’s amazing. There is so much to laugh and reminisce about. I’ll give you my list.
1. Kristen Stewart’s acting
Do you remember Kristen Stewart’s melodramatic acting in her performance of Bella? No? Well, then you should re-watch it and remind yourself of when you used to be that dramatic tween who swooned over handsome vampires. It’s laughable to watch, but it also took me back to the days of when I too, thought it would be romantic to fall in love with a vampire and stay young forever.
2. Sparkly Vampires
Need I say more? In any other vampire franchise, the vampires combust and turn into dust...ick! Not in “Twilight”! Instead, Edward and the other good-looking vampires sparkle like the beautiful diamonds they are. It is just such a beautiful sight to see Robert Pattison sparkle in the sun!
3. Team Edward Or Team Jacob
Who doesn’t love a good love triangle where two handsome guys fight over the female protagonist? Into tall, dark, and a killer body? You can back team Jacob! Jacob is the lovable pretty boy who doubles as a werewolf. Though, if you aren’t into that, you still have another team to back. My personal favorite team Edward. The handsome, dreamy, and romantic one. Either way, the two choices keep you entertained during the whole saga.
4. More than just romance
The whole idea of a completely lovey-dovey movie make you sick? Well, this series has more to offer than just romance. These films also have plenty of action between the vampire and werewolf conflicts, and vampire armies fighting there are plenty of other plot development to go around. This action will keep you just as invested as any other superhero movie that Marvel comes out with because newsflash Vampires are basically superheroes.
5. One-liners and cheesy humor
If all the above reasons weren’t enough to make you give this series a second or maybe a first glance. Why not just watch it for the cheesy moments that you can laugh at? Those who created this series know that there is a ridiculous amount of romance and sci-fi to last a lifetime, so they tried to balance it out with some great one-liners to even make you laugh. They fall in between all the romance, but they are totally worth your time!
Why not re-watch this series? It clearly has everything a person could look for in a movie no matter who you are! What is there to lose? Except for a few hours of your life, but I guarantee you, it will be worth it.
