My Favorite Tunes: 60s Edition

Growing up, I have been blessed to have some awesome grandparents. My papaw exposed me to some of the greatest music to ever exist at a young age and I still listen to it to this day. None of these are in any particular order and these are not all of my favorites from the 60s; but if I were to add them all, I'm afraid this Odyssey article would be longer than the Bible.

So, thanks papaw. Thanks for showing me some of my favorite music.

These Eyes - The Guess Who (1969)

Baby Love - The Supremes (1964)

God Only Knows - The Beach Boys (1966)

Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond (1969)

Monday Monday - The Mamas and The Papas (1966)

Crimson and Clover - Tommy James and the Shondells (1968)

Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Frankie Valli (1967)

Crazy - Patsy Cline (1961)

Paint it Black - The Rolling Stones (1966)

Will You Love Me Tomorrow - The Shirelles (1960)

Space Oddity - David Bowie (1969)

She Loves You - The Beatles (1963)

Time of the Season - The Zombies (1968)

Light My Fire - The Doors (1967)

Mrs. Robinson - Simon and Garfunkel (1968)

The House of the Rising Sun - The Animals (1964)

Listening to these songs make me feel so nostalgic (even though they were released long before I even existed). If you have time, just listen to a few- it'll more than likely put you in a better mood.

Where to start...... Let me start with the cliche that life throws us curveballs and what we do with it is what counts.

Heart on a Wet Sleeve

No one prepares you for the honeymoon phase wearing off

Heart on a Wet Sleeve

Let's start off with the simple fact that God made everyone differently. That statement could not be more evident. We try to embrace our differences and set ourselves apart from the rest of the world. What that doesn't prepare us for is when we yearn for a characteristic of someone else. For example, have you ever met someone who can experience this great heart ache and hardly shed a tear? This person just had their heart ripped out and they find a way to carry themselves through it with great composure. Well, not all of us have that desirable trait. Some of us wear our hearts on our wet sleeves. When a person has their heart on their sleeve, it can be viewed as a good thing, that the individual isn't shallow. However,
