Have you ever had one of those days that you feel like absolutely nothing can go your way? And that day snowballs into a week and a week into a month? Recently, I have been feeling this exact same way. I am one hundred percent unsure of God's plan for me which thus instills in me an incredible amount of fear for what the future will hold. I know He is amongst me everyday; however, I have struggled understanding what exactly God has prepared for me in the time to come.

Nonetheless, without these particular trials, I wouldn't be the person I am today and have learned so incredibly much from those around me. Don't get me wrong, it has taken me an immense amount of time to figure out why I should be putting my full trust in Him. Lately though, I have found that keeping my trust in God is all that I need when it comes to my worries.

Psalm 13:5 states, "But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation."

While being fully submersed into a college student lifestyle, I have found it more difficult to make time for Our Lord. So, when I began feeling this negativity and doubt weigh heavily on my heart, my friends and family were the ones that I turned to. What was most amazing about disclosing my worries to them, was that they always provided me with Bible verses or the simple statement of, "I'm praying for you".

Wow. Those simple things resonated with me throughout the rest of that week and still speak to me today. The people that I surround myself with have invested their souls into the Lord. To me, that was so neat to observe and take in.

After that day, I looked to focus more on God's unfailing trust and love.

Let me tell you, we are surrounded by his love day in and day out. That was something so crucial that I never actually took the time to notice.

1 John 4:19 states, "We love because he first loved us."

The verse above is so simplistic, yet so meaningful. We are able to love others because of Jesus. Without his love I wouldn't be able to love my family and friends as much as I do. Can you even imagine a world without love?

Furthermore, I really took these two verses into consideration when it came to overcoming my doubts and worries. I had to look at the big picture and ensure myself that not only does God have something so incredible planned for each and everyone of us, but he also loves us so much! I think that is pretty amazing.

So, remember what ever trial you are facing, seek out God's unfailing trust and love. He will guide all of us as soon as we start putting our faith in Him.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
