Hello all! As February winds down, (it just started, didn't it?) I believe it is about time to present to you my top ten songs from this month! As I promised in January, I wanted to make this a monthly piece so I could provide whoever may be reading my articles with some new music to listen to.

So, without further ado, here are my top 10 songs from February 2018:

10. "No Roots" by Alice Merton

"No Roots" was originally released in August 2017. As soon as I heard it on Radio 104.5 whilst on my drive to Chick-Fil-A, I had to know the name of the song. Once I discovered the name, it instantly became the first song I added to my "February 2018" playlist on Spotify. It's an extremely catchy song, and I find myself singing it quite often. Definitely a song that hypes you up.

9. "Dreams and Nightmares" by Meek Mill

I am not usually a fan of rap, but lately, I've been trying to expand my music taste. I can honestly say that this is the most definitive song of my February. This is due in part by this being the Philadelphia Eagles walk-in music at the Super Bowl. It became Philadelphia's anthem this entire NFL playoff season, especially since it's by rapper Meek Mill (#FreeMeek!) But seriously, listen to this song. Issa bop.

8. "We Find Love" by Daniel Caesar

I discovered Daniel Caesar from my friend (thank you, Emily!!!) and I could not be happier that she did. Every song I've heard from him has become a song I listen to on repeat. His songs are very sensual and his voice is angelic. I don't only recommend this song, but his entire discography. If you want to bless your ears, give him a listen.

7. "Sister Cities" by the Wonder Years

The Wonder Years are an extremely talented Philadelphia-based pop-punk band. I've gotten to see them live a few times and I am so thankful for that. Their new album, "Sister Cities," is set to come out in April and the title track from the album came out this month. This song made me even more excited for the LP, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for the Wonder Years.

6. "Wild Love" by James Bay

I first heard James Bay at my Junior prom when "Let it Go" was our slow dance song. Since then, I've been a fan of him and listen to his music often. I was super excited when I saw he had a released a new song last week. The song differs from his original sound, but I dig it. It's a good change. I'm looking forward to any new music he is releasing soon!

5. "The Sunshine" by Manchester Orchestra

Probably the slowest and most soothing song I have on this list is "the Sunshine," and it's no surprise it comes from Manchester Orchestra. If you're looking for a nice, relaxing song to listen to while doing homework or to add to your "sleep" playlist, I recommend this one.

4. "Call Me if You Need Me" by Vance Joy

I can't tell you how happy I am that Vance Joy is releasing new music. His songs always touch my soul — such as "Mess is Mine" and "Georgia." I love this new song just as much as I love those ones. Make sure to listen to this song and more on his new album "Nation of Two" set to release on February 23! It won't disappoint.

3. "Going to Mars (!)" by Judah and the Lion

I don't have much to say about this song except that I really want to see this song performed live because I think it would be an amazing experience. That is all.

2. "Figure This Out" by the Wrecks

1. "Way With Words" by the Wrecks

The number one and two spot go to the Wrecks. The Wrecks are a band I had the honor of seeing live this past summer on tour with All Time Low. I was blown away by how good they were. Last week, their much anticipated EP "Panic Vertigo" came out, and I was delighted to be able to hear the studio versions of the songs I loved on the tour. If you listen to any of these ten songs, please listen to one of these songs, or just listen to the whole EP. I can promise you won't be disappointed. The Wrecks are seriously so talented and I think they are going to be extremely popular in the near future.

Hope you all enjoyed the list for this month! See you with another list at the end of March :)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
