Super Bowl Commercials

I've never really been that big of a sports fan. Instead, I've just rooted for Chicago. Now though, as I get older, I actually enjoy watching different games more, and it is something fun to do with the whole family. One of the best games, however, that I've always loved, is the Superbowl. It's a great day to gather with friends, snack on great food, and enjoy a great game. But the game isn't even the best part. Even the halftime show isn't the highlight. Instead, the best part of the Superbowl is the commercials that come with. As someone who has taken both advertising and marketing classes, it's so much more fulfilling when you see such a great ad, because you know all the effort that went into it. After searching through YouTube, I came up with this list of the best SuperBowl commercials, in my opinion at least. Enjoy (:

10. E*Trade- Monkey

This one is very confusing at first, so it catches your attention. Then, with one simple phrase, it reminds you to be careful with how to spend your money.

9. Doritos- Ultrasound

This commercial is hysterically funny, and really gets the point across on just how good their chips are. Makes me crave them at least.

8. Budweiser- Wassup

Honestly, this commercial has no point. But at the same time, it makes me smile just by the sheer stupidity of it. Plus, it's definitely memorable.

7. Fed-Ex- Cast Away

Fed-Ex really knocked it out of the park with this clever ad. It's a parody of the film Cast Away with Tom Hanks, and definitely made me laugh out loud

6. Volkswagen- Darth Vader

It's the little things that make life great. This adorable commercial will surely put a smile on your face.

5. Ameriquest Mortgage- Cat Killer

Okay, when searching for these commercials, I watched this one multiple times and was literally laughing out loud. Very creative, and definitely memorable.

4. Snickers- Betty White

This brilliant commercial was just the start of a new campaign for Snickers, which undoubtedly went very well. Plus, who didn't enjoy watching Betty White "play" football?

3. Budweiser- Lost Dog

Right in the feels Budweiser. Like, c'mon. This was one of the most talked about commercials the year it aired. Just goes to show that you can never go wrong with using cute puppies in your ads.

2. Budweiser- Clydesdale 9/11 Tribute

This commercial is so simple, yet beautiful. 9/11 is a date in American history that evokes emotion in all of us, and in a way unites us together. It's nice to see a company show their respects.

1. Budweiser- Separated at Birth

This one tops my list because it's my all time FAVORITE commercial. Cute, and funny. Good job Budweiser. You always do it best (:

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
