Natalie Wood(1938-1981)- Natalie Wood was an American born actress that starred in some of the biggest classics such as West Side Story and Splendor in the Grass. In 1981, Natalie was sailing on a yacht with her husband Robert Wagner and her co-star Christopher Walken among other crew. After drinking that night, Natalie was thought to have gone to bed. Nicole Brown Simpson(1959-1994)- Nicole is known to millions around the world as OJ Simpson's murdered ex wife. I feel like that has really shadowed Nicole herself and her tragic murder that has yet to be solved officially and may never be. Nicole was murdered along with her friend, Ron Goldman in 1994 at her California residence. OJ was acquitted of the crime, but is still the number one suspect.
Virginia Rappe(1891-1921)- Virginia was a silent film actress in the 1920's. In 1921 during a celebratory party for an actor named Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, who was just signed to Paramount, she became ill. When a doctor arrived, he stated that Rappe was drunk. Although she was looked after, she was not taken to a hospital until three days later. At that time it was too late for Rappe. She had died of Peritonitis from a ruptured bladder. An attendee at the party had told authorities that Rappe had told her that Roscoe had hurt her. Arbuckle was arrested and was tried for her death but, was acquitted because there was no evidence against him.
Elizabeth Short "AKA" The Black Dahlia(1924-1947)- Elizabeth Short was a waitress in LA who was trying to make it as an actress. One day in January of 1947, Short's mutilated body was found in a residential area. One theory to the case is that a man named Dr. Walter Bayley, who lived near where the body was found and whose daughter was a friend of Short's family had killed Elizabeth. He later died of a brain disease, but was blackmailed by a former mistress about a misdeed.
Thelma Todd(1906-1935)- Thelma Todd was a successful actress in the 1920's and 1930's. Thelma had opened up a restaurant called Thelma Todd's Sidewalk Cafe. Thelma had lived in the apartment above the restaurant. In December of 1935, Thelma was found dead inside her car outside the restaurant. William Desmond Taylor(1872-1922)- William was a successful film director in his time and worked in Hollywood until his murder. One early morning in February 1922, Taylor was found shot in his back at his bungalow. He was last seen by his friend Mabel Normand the night before. After his body was discovered, a crowd of people gathered around the crime scene so any evidence that had been present at the time had been contaminated. In 1964 an actress named Margaret Gibson confessed to his murder but, there was no evidence so the case is still open today.
Ronni Chasen(1946-2010)- Chasen was a well known publicist who had worked on getting her movies to the oscars. She was well known for Driving Miss Daisy and Lolita. After returning home from the world premier of the movie Burlesque in 2010, she was shot multiple times in her car in Beverly Hills. The main suspect in the case was Harold Martin Smith. Bob Crane(1928-1978)- Bob Crane was an actor most well known for his part in the television series "Hogan's Heroes". What the public did not know about Crane was, he was connected to womanizing and sexual indiscretion. The killer had wrapped an electric cord around his neck after he had died. Carpenter was the main suspect in the case.
