There have been several times where I have found myself screaming "WHAT?!" at the TV screen because I could not believe that hideous look just won! Now I will have to admit that I am no professional designer and these may actually look good, but this is just my personal opinion. Here are a few of my least favorite looks that the judges thought were amazing.

1. Duck Tape Prom Dress Nightmare

Now do not get me wrong I love Mondo to death and I honestly thought he deserved to win the entire show over Gretchen, BUT this winning look had me shook! I thought this mismatched pattern dress with these cheap Halloween looking fabrics just did not do it for me.

3. Dance of Doom

This look by Christopher was for the challenge where they had to make an outfit for the Rockette's performance. He thought that creating the NYC Skyline would work, but placing it on their chest just made it look wonky. The skirt also seems to be a little too short for those high kicks in my personal opinion. The judges thought otherwise and deemed it to be the winning look.

4. A Flower Cage

This unconventional challenge had the designers create a look that was made out of flowers and supplies from a hardware store. The ultimate soft and hard. The judges loved this look because that thought it was a perfect example of what modern clothing looks like, but I believe it just looks tacky and outdated in certain areas. For example, the poofy mid-section and the odd neckline just threw me off.

5. Miranda LamBURNT

This challenge made the designers create a red carpet look or a concert-ready look for the country singer Miranda Lambert. She ended up choosing this concert-ready look which looked to me that it was not ready for a concert or any other public venue. This just looks like someone glued a bunch of cheap leather fringe onto a see-through dress. This is not flattering at all.

In conclusion, all of these looks were winners in the judge's eyes, but in my eyes, they looked like losers.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
