I’m in my dimly lit dorm room sitting beside of a salt lamp and an essential oil diffuser, listening to a Spotify playlist titled “Unobjectionable Event Music” and popping popcorn. So, logically, let’s talk about movies.
Sure, November is great because everyone starts getting seasonally confused and purchasing presents for people they like and/or pretend to tolerate. However, I like November; not for this reason, but because actual good movies finally start to hit the big screen on a weekly basis. This year, I am more excited than ever considering the fact that I finally live in a city that recognizes Moonlight is better than Medea.
In this moment and as far as you know, I am an expert in cinema arts. Everything you read on the internet is true as is the previous sentence. All jokes aside, I truly am an enthusiast and admirer of good storytelling. I also dabble in film arts myself. Screenwriting has kept me sane growing up. Great movies blend emotional writing, delicate performances, precise direction, and stunning technical work to portray the significance and complexity of what it means to live a life.
Wow, typical writer, I am literally almost completely off topic at this point. Circling back, in this article I am going to talk about a few movies that I cannot wait to see as this year comes to a close. I am not going to say these are in order of what I am most excited to see, but the movies that follow are in order of what I am most excited to see.

2. Call Me by Your Name

3. The Post

4. The Shape of Water

Even if there is no chance that you, personally, will watch any of these movies, you can now sound beyond cultured when asked about what's going on at the theaters.
If you do decide to make my life a little better and go out and watch these incredible pieces of art, I want you to be sure and let me know. Tell me about your experience: what you liked, what you didn't, what your favorite part was, and what made you think about something differently.
