If you're anything like me, you love a good Netflix series! You need one that will get you hooked as you stuff your face with popcorn or whatever other snacks you have until the very last episode. And then you cry, because you'll never get to see another new episode again...at least until it's aired on television.

Here are a few of my personal favorites.

1. Parenthood:

Aired originally on NBC.It's a raw and emotional series that deals with an imperfect family called the Bravermans. It will have you laughing and crying in every episode. Plus the attractiveness of the characters are helpful, my personal favorite character is Crosby played by the handsome Dax Sheppard. There are 6 seasons that will keep you on your toes. And there are rumors about them renewing for a 7th season. We can only hope that is true!

2. Revenge:

Staring beautiful Emily Vancamp who plays a troubled young woman named Emily Thorne. She takes on different identies and has a secret revenge plot against the wealthy Grayson family. It has drama and action and 4 seasons to keep your eyes glued to the mystery of what she'll do next.

3. Once Upon A Time:

If you love fairy tales then this is a series for you. It's about stories living in our relm( ahem, world for those who don't get the oncer lingo.) There's a Savior, Snow White and the Evil Queen.Beware though not everyone gets a happily ever after in this series... It gets complicated with all of the twists and turns of how the characters are related or have relations with each other, but if you have an imagination and a soft spot for fantasy this is one to check out. There are 5 seasons available on Netflix if I'm not mistaken and season 6 is currently airing on ABC Sunday nights at 8/7 central.

4. The Blacklist:

James Spader plays a brilliant criminal named Raymond Reddington. He has a list of criminals and is underhandly working with the FBI helping them catch the Blacklisters. He has some kind of past with FBI agent Elizabeth Keen, but they are yet to explain what the exact history is between them. There is no doubt about it that Raymond Reddington is not someone you'd want as an enemy. Personally, I'm obsessed. With 3 seasons on Netflix I already caught up to the 4th currently airing on NBC season 4 will return in January.

5. Baby Daddy:

This series is on FreeForm. with 5 seasons on Netflix and season 6 airing sometime in 2017. It is a lighthearted comedy about a bachelor who surprisingly finds out he has an infant daughter named Emma. and becomes a full time father. With his brother, roommate, high school crush, and over bearing single mother the shenanigans they get into are priceless.

6. Scandal:

The sexy and intelligent Olivia Pope and associates are always involved in something. If it's a secret affair with the president or if it's cleaning up someone's crime. If you love trying to figure out a characters next move this is the show for you. Who says politics can't be sexy? There's 5 mouth dropping seasons on Netflix and season 6 will debut January 2017.

7. Doc Martin:

This is a British tv series. It's about a socially awkward soul they called Doc Martin. He moves to a small town where he is the only practicing doctor around. His strange fear of blood and people doesn't let him stop caring and doing his job. There's love and humor in this. You dont' have to be British to fall in love with the characters. There's an entire 8 seasons to keep you laughing!

8. Switched at Birth:

The name of this show tells it all. It shows the trial and tribulations of the tragic discovery about two young teenage girls who found out they were Switched at Birth. They're not actually sisters, but they now are forced to get to know their birth families and they couldn't be more oppisite. Daphne Vasquez is deaf and her switched "sister" Bay Kenish grew up in a wealthy home. They won't allow what cards they were dealt change them. But it does forever change their circumstances. 4 seasons are available on Netflix and season 5 is coming out January 2017!

9. The Fosters:

This is my current addiction. I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed to say I'm already on season 4 in less than 2 weeks of starting this show. The family dynamic and love that this show teaches you is priceless. The eye opening of the Foster system will make your hearts melt for these characters and wish you could reach through your television and hug them. Stef and Lena have a beautiful family with only one biological son Brandon. The rest are all adopted. And somehow they make it work. There are 4 seasons on Netflix and the continuation of season 4 is coming out January 2017, I for one cannot wait!

10. Stranger Things:

If you haven't watched Stranger Things yet, I'm sure you know someone who has! This Netflix Origional Series is actually all it's cracked up to be. With only 1 season so far holding 8 Binge worthy episodes the new season is said to come out in July 2017. This show isn't just a fad. The mystery of what happened to the little boy Will Buyers will keep you awake at night until you finish episode This is a show that will make or break relationships because someone will finish the series first. It's definitely a must watch.

Of course, Netflix offers a LOT more entertainment than just these series listed above, but they are a few of my personal favorite. And if you are ever searching for a new show to become addicted too, well you will not be disappointed with any of these! May you be happy in your being watching and may the odds of choosing a series be forever in your favor!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
