It's important to have select shows that will help you feel better about yourself while you watch it. After it's all over, you may feel like you have wasted 2 hours of your life, but just remember your mental health is first. Guilty pleasures are also a lot better with friends who can feed into making completely ridiculous shows seem like reality.
1. The Bachelor/ Bachelorette
What better way to feel better about yourself than watch 20 guys date one girl in completely real life situations? I know, stalk the couples on Instagram after the show is over to see who actually stays together.
2. Queer Eye
This modern-day makeover show follows the Fab Five as they turn people's lives around in every way. It's like Extreme Makeover Home Edition and What Not To Wear came together to create the most feel-good show ever.
3. Keeping Up With The Kardashians
It feels great to escape to a world where the smallest concern is how much something costs and the biggest concern is the next family scandal.
4. Friends
This is a show that will never go out of style. It also makes the flaws and drama of your friend group a lot more relatable.
5. Chrisley Knows Best
Todd Chrisley is probably the sassiest person you can watch on TV. Whether he makes you feel better about yourself, this family's rich-people problems will keep you laughing the whole time.
6. Big Brother
Big Brother is the best game show/ social experiment as you watch people live in a house together with cameras everywhere for 3 months straight. It's a fight to the death (or just until you get voted out). Let the showmances and backstabs begin!
7. 90 Day Fiancé
I'm not sure how someone thought of this show, but I bet they made a lot of money off of it. Pretty much like the bachelor on steroids, as you are engaged to someone you've never met from another country. This sounds like a recipe for wrecked relationships.
8. One Tree Hill
One Tree Hill drags us back to the guilty pleasure of high school drama while reminding us of some deep life lessons. Plus, there are so many episodes to binge watch, just ask my boyfriend who finished the series in 3 weeks :)
9. 19 Kids and Counting
This brings guilty pleasure to the other end of the spectrum as you watch the Duggars following strict courting rules that consist only of side hugs. But don't worry, there's a new wedding and/or baby born every episode to keep you on your toes.
10. Dance Moms
Feel better about yourself by watching 10-year-old dancers do moves you will never be able to do. But be ready for the dance moms to be even more feisty than the soccer moms out there.
