She's not all that.

For those who are unaware of who Tomi Lahren is, she is a 24-year-old who majored in political science and journalism at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Lahren hosts her show “Tomi" on TheBlaze nightly at 7 p.m. She is very opinionated and has been described as “angry” by some viewers. Lahren speaks on her conservative opinions for different situations related to politics on her show.

Here is the issue, though. Lahren’s views are very wishy-washy, and she speaks on what she knows will get her views. She also tends to not mention where she gets facts about the people she tears apart. While I am not one to judge what views someone has or who they vote for, I will judge Lahren for her lack of credibility and views that are inconsistent for someone who has a somewhat large viewing audience. What she seems to make appealing to her viewers is that people don’t need facts, and that an opinion is enough to make someone an expert on how to deal with anything. Lahren also believes that degrading those she speaks about is an OK thing to do, which is another reason that her views are so high.

She says that she calls people out on their "bullshit", but their "bullshit" is how people go about their freedoms and beliefs in opposite ways than she does. People love drama, and Lahren is a drama lover and a drama starter.

She has said that those who did not support Donald Trump did not understand “everyday Americans” as if those who voted for anyone other than Trump aren’t everyday Americans. She speaks down to those who have different views and makes them out to be a group trying to divide the country. Lahren has also recently commented on Jill Stein’s request for a recount and acted as if a large number of Trump supporters hadn’t accused the election as “rigged.”

While she agrees that people have the freedom of speech and the freedom to protest, she forgets that that applies to everyone. She tears apart those who used their freedom of speech to bring awareness to serious issues in the country and usually tells them to “Shut up." Hypocritical, when one realizes her show is able to be aired in this country only because of that exact same freedom. There are many examples throughout many of her shows, but these are just recent highlights I felt the need to share.

Bottom line is, if you are looking for a conservative American to agree with, then Tomi Lahren is your girl. If you are looking to be entertained by the anger of a young girl speaking on politics, Tomi Lahren is your girl. I believe that Lahren is a smart girl, but she is ignorant to a lot of aspects of opposing views and how people also have the right to freedom of speech and to protest. It’s not that I don’t like Lahren because she has opposite views from me, because there a few times where I can understand where she is coming from, but it’s the way she degrades people in order to share her point.

Degrading other Americans that are acting on the same rights she has, her lack of credibility, and how she causes drama to get more views, is the reason I believe that Tomi Lahren is not as great as people may seem to believe.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
