Dear Follower,

Hate to break it to you but social media is not that important. This is 2018 and everyone pretty much knows how to photoshop if you're under 30! Children have smartphones and we are evolving!

We are so glued to our phones that now everything pretty much revolves around you having a phone on you at all times. However, social media is not an important aspect when having a phone. Here's why:

If you're obsessed with how many followers you have I think you need to put your phone or laptop down for a couple minutes. Breathe, it's just a piece of metal at the end of the day. Then, realize that the number of followers you have really doesn't affect you. Unless you profit from social media or career as an influencer, social media is just a tool to keep in touch with others and communicate/share stuff.

If someone unfollows you, don't take it personally. It's not the end of the world. If someone un-adds you on Snapchat, this is not doomsday. If someone leaves a group chat, maybe they don't want to have constant notifications every time someone sees a dog on campus. Leave it alone.

You really think that the photoshopped girl who goes to school on the opposite side of the country really feels as attached as you do when she unfollows you on Instagram? It's not that big of a tragedy! We have people who Catfish so how do you even know that's what they look like anyway? You can buy photoshop apps on your phone for like $5!

Stop caring about how many followers you have and care about real-life people! I'm so tired of hearing people bicker about who follows who on social media! Someone watching your story on whatever doesn't show real emotion. It just shows they took the time to click on your stuff!

Hearing someone argue with a close friend about dumb statuses on social media is so pathetic. I'm sorry but it really is. I understand to be mad if someone posted something malicious and targeting online, but if you're really butt-hurt that whoever unfollowed you, please reconsider having social media in the first place. This is supposed to be emotionally neutral, not a place for bullying and fighting.

Sincerely,

The people who get caught in arguments between people over social media

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
