"A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him." -Dave Brinkley
They say it takes a village to raise a child; oh how true that is. Everybody has certain people who have influenced him or her throughout their lives, but there are those who have stuck out as bigger parts of that person’s life who has contributed to their destiny.
To my Grandfathers…
Who gave me their wisdom; through your life experiences, knowledge, and guidance, you have given me the wisdom to figure out any problem. You have taught me not to be afraid of anything, to face the world with my head held high, and to seize the day.
To my high school football coach…
Who taught me the value of teamwork; in just four short years, I learned a lifetime of experiences through your direction. I learned that life isn’t all about me, and that there are some things that I cannot accomplish myself. There are some things that are bigger then yourself, and football taught me that its okay to seek some help, or go help someone you care about.
To my best friends...
Who taught me the meaning of friendship; since the day we've met my five best friends have been there for me. Through thick and thin; through both the good and bad times. Life can be hard, but it's get a little easier when you have amazing people to catch you when you fall.
To my high school English teacher...
Who gave me purpose; as of right now I am studying to become an english teacher; all thanks to this man whom helped me find my passion, inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming an Educator. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be where I am today, I would have never found myself.
Finally, to my father…
Who made me who I am today; I can’t thank you enough. You’re the bravest, most selfless, and most caring human being I’ve ever met. All I hope is that one day I can be like you, and that I’m making you proud on my journey there. I’ve learned countless lessons from you that I will pass down to my son one day.
Thank you, for being you; and for making me, me.
