A Couple Of Timeline Mistakes In The TV Show "Friends"

Some events don't add up correctly, time-wise.

A Couple Of Timeline Mistakes In The TV Show "Friends"

Here are some examples:

1. Rachel and Ross's length of dating.

In season 3, Rachel says to Ross that he should trust her, and that they've been dating for almost a year, but it seems that they've only been dating for six months; because they started dating towards the end of season 2, and it's only halfway through season 3.

2. Now Rachel and Ross dated for two years?

In a later season, Rachel says that she and Ross dated for two years, but they only dated for one year excluding a long break-up, and one night of being back together.

3. Monica's age.

In season 1, Monica says she's 26, but in season 6 she turns 30. She should be turning 31 or 32.

4. Chandler and Monica's wedding.

In season 7, in an episode where Monica is in a bridal shop with Phoebe and Rachel, she states that she is getting married in May. But did they? If this is when Rachel is six weeks pregnant, and in season 8 in the episode where the baby is late in arrival, Rachel says it's 100 degrees out. If she was six weeks pregnant in May, then she should be having her baby in December, and we know it's not 100 degrees in December in Manhattan.

5. Emma's birthday and Chandler and Monica's infertility.

Chandler and Monica started trying to conceive a baby on the day Emma was born. In a later episode, Monica says to Chandler that she thinks they should take a fertility test because they've been trying to have a baby "for over a year now." But how can this be, when Emma's 1st birthday isn't for SEVERAL more episodes? In fact, her 1st birthday is not until the middle of season 10.

6. The main characters' birthdays.

The mentioning of the friends' birthdays sometimes do not add up when stated other times, or shown.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
