Three Easy DIY Projects That Anyone Can Accomplish

DIY projects are the best because whatever you end up making you will feel more proud about it since it is your sweat and blood that was put into it. There are millions of little projects that one can do to spice up their place. In the past two months, I have done three that are so easy that anyone can do it so I thought I would share. The process of creating something is fun too because you can put your own little spin to it to make it absolutely yours. So let's cut the small talk and get to work!

Outdoor Bar

This outdoor bar is cute, simple and cheap. All you really need for this is two wood pallets, two flat pieces of stone and paint and you are ready to go. You will drill the pallets together making it wider and then glue the stone on top of the pallets to create a flat surface. Before doing this although, I would paint the pallets whatever color you decide first so it is easier to get all parts of the pallets covered. I put a little spin to mine by putting lights through both pallets and painting a piece of plywood to put on the front of it.

Beer Frisbee

This is a fun game to play during the summer and is very simple to create. Instead of buying a set online which can be costly, make it yourself for half the price. All you need are two PVC pipes that you will place into the ground about 20 feet apart, a frisbee and beer! Think of this game as cornhole with two people on both sides of each pipe and all you are trying to do is get the beer on top of the pipe knocked down. It is a fun and easy game to create at any time.

Cloud Lights

This cloud light is perfect for a bedroom or anywhere in your house. It is easy to make and you can get all the materials at your local craft store. All you need is a paper lantern, cotton, LED lights, fishing line and a hook. These material will create a cloud light that makes your home just a little bit cozier. With using a fishing line, you won't be able to see the string so it will look as if the clouds are actually floating.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
