Thoughts While Listening To Hamilton (Act II)
Hamitlon-Broadway

Last week I indulged you with my insights on Act I of the smash hit, Hamilton. Join me again this week for my thoughts on Act II.

What'd I Miss

So, he really isn't giving up the whole "bastard-orphan" thing...

Thomas Jefferson is home... convenient that he missed the war.

You missed the memo on what kind of music to sing...

I think people who lived in the late 80s missed it too.

The South, yee yee

"Uh.. France" Jeez, Madison, did you not pay attention?

Cabinet Battle #1

I wish I was in NYC...

This boutta be lit

Quoting yourself, cute Jefferson.

You ain't planting any seeds, sir.

Land of the free? But SLAVES.

OK, here's Hamilton.

Yeah what do you do in Monticello?

Hammy callin him out on the whole slavery thing

YEAH YOU WERE GETTIN HIGH WITH THE FRENCH

#TeamHam

"I'll show you where my shoe foots." BOOM

Madison and Jefferson are so childish.

George ordering Hammy again.

Take a Break

Hey, I can count to 10 in French too.

Oh shit, he's writing to Angelica

I, too, am a massive pain.

With my knowledge, I know a grown man is currently playing a 9 year old and I can't

Yeah, Hammy, take a break.

Angelica is the only person who gets Hamilton on a mental level and it's sad.

HA Angelica is coming home lol.

Ha John Adams doesn't have a real job.

And good ole Hammy isn't going with them.

He's gettin his plan through Congress instead of gettin two women...

Say No To This

At least Hamilton calls himself a bastard-orphan

Jasmine Cephas-Jones has such a fire voice

And no my homie Hammy has not only cheated mentally, but physically.

SAY NO HAMMY YOU'RE A GOOD GUY

L O L HER HUSBAND'S LETTER #DEAD

"If you pay you can stay" well then...

The Room Where It Happens

"All he had to do was die." well guess that helps

Wow, Hamilton taking Burr's advice, that's new.

Foes to Bros, they real American story.

Isn't it funny how two of the major things in our country where basically decided between three men over dinner?

Leslie Odom Jr. has some pipes.

"But you don't get a win unless you playin the game" True

"You get nothin if you wait for it" L O L callin Burr out

Andrew Burr, the saltiest founding father.

"We don't get a say in what they trade away" me with the Cardinals

Schuyler Defeated

Burr literally changed his views just to piss off Hamilton. That is the definition of petty.

"Your pride will be the death of us all" F O R E SHADOWING AGAIN

Cabinet Battle #2

Time for Hammy to wipe the floor with Jefferson

Madison tries to be a hype man, but he fails.

Jefferson just causes me to constantly roll my eyes.

Hammy bringing the beat

"Uh do whatever you want, I'm super dead" l o l that was great.

#TeamHamilton

Who knew that hundreds of years later politicians would still be asking this same question.

Washington on Your Side

I feel some b*tchin comin on

Jefferson is giving us science and math lessons, cute.

Speaking of poor farmers Jefferson, you still have slaves over there or...?

So, you don't wanna do the work, but you'll end his career?

Shut up Madison *rolls eyes*

SOUTHERN MOTHERF*CKING DEMOCRATIC REPUBLICANS! Now that is my new favorite line.

l o l they think Hamilton stole money from the treasury hahahah if they really knew.

One Last Time

"Whatever it is Jefferson started it." Ha Ha they're such children.

NO GEORGIE DON'T LEAVE US

I DON'T WANT TO LEARN HOW TO SAY GOODBYE

You could continue to serve.

George wanted our nation to move on, but I don't think he ever expected this political mess.

You sure you don't wanna sit under a cherry tree Georgie? Hmmm?

I want to write speeches like Hamilton

THANK GOD WE DON'T LET PEOPLE BE PRESIDENT FOR 45 YEARS ANYMORE.

I Know Him

King George has returned

HA HA of course you aren't aware that people can step down from power

The jokes about John Adams's height kill me

The Adams Administration

Well, at least Burr didn't call him a bastard-orphan

But Adams called him a creole bastard...

"Sit down John you fat mother..." lol same Hammy

We Know

Hahah they think he embezzled

Nah, he just had an affair.

He may have mortally wounded his prospects, but his papers are orderly... Typically Hammy.

"Rumors only grow" #deep

Yeah, Burr can't say anything, he had an affair too.

Hurricane

"I couldn't seem to die" but I feel like you're about to.

For real, can I write my way out of Mississippi?

Ugh, the music in this show is just beautiful.

Alexander Hamilton was genius with a pen and I'm jealous

The whole "wait for it" thing in the background is so ominous.

The Reynolds Pamphlet

No Hammy did not

Oh but he did

HE WROTE THE DETAILS OF HIS AFFAIR

Poor Eliza

"never gonna be President now" I wish this could apply to our current candidates...

Angelica came back

but not for Hamilton #awkward

So this was America's first big sex scandal, fun.

Burn

Oh, Eliza boutta tear Hamilton up.

This is breaking my heart.

"I'm erasing myself from the narrative" excuse my while I go cry for hours

"You forfeit the right to my heart" @ all the dumb boys

"I hope that you burn" @ all the dumb boys again

Blow Us All Away

Phillip copying his dad's words, my heart.

lol lil player

George Eacker can piss off

No, not a duel...

"Everything is legal in New Jersey" Jersey Shore proves that

Idk who George Eacker even is but I hate him

Stay Alive-Reprise

Please live Phillip (even tho I know he dies)

I'm crying

This is painful

He dies on sept which is seven and he was shot on seven and i can't

It's Quiet Uptown

I am utterly depressed now

How do you live with the unimaginable?

"I never liked the quiet before" this changed Hamilton so much

"You knock me out, I fall apart" excuse me, LMM, that isn't ok.

She forgave him, wow I never knew a song could make me cry.

The Election of 1800

"Can we get back to politics" lol

Burr running for president? WHAT DOES HE EVEN BELIEVE?

And now they need Hamilton...

It's up to Hamilton

He chose Jefferson HA HA HA

"Jefferson has beliefs, Burr has none" BURN

Could you imagine if the person in second place still became VP?

Your Obedient Servant

Well at least he switched it up for once and said "orphan, bastard, whore's son."

Aaron Burr gets Saltiest and Pettiest in Founding Father Superlatives

"I have the honor to be your obedient servant" lol

Hamilton made a list of 30 years of disagreements, name.

"Weehawken. Dawn. Guns Drawn." So much drama.

Best of Wives and Best of Women

He's saying goodbye to Eliza :(

except you won't be back

The World Was Wide Enough

The were near the same spot his son died, RIP.

Bruh, they barely taught us about Hamilton, of course they wouldn't mention his glasses.

Hamilton's speach during this song is so chilling

"Burr, my first friend, my enemy" the accuracy

He sings "Eliza" and the tears come

Burr, screaming "wait" does not stop a bullet.

Too late, he realized the world was wide enough...

Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story

Now they all want to talk nice since he has died.

Eliza tells his story

"I wrote myself back into the narrative" STOP

She did so much just to make sure his story was told

Woah, Eliza Hamilton is the reason we have the Washington Monument? How come I did not know this?

And she opened an orphanage

"Who tells your story?" the ultimate question.

Thanks for followin this journey through Hamilton with me.

I have the honor to be your obediant servant K. Mill

StableDiffusion

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
