When we were little, we didn't have responsibilities. All we had to worry about was when we'd be forced to take a nap, never realizing that one day we'd wish we'd be able to take one. We looked forward to going to the park, with the neighborhood kids, or watching cartoons on saturday morning.
Eventually we'd get into middle school/Jr. High, where we would start learning more and more about ourselves, and about each other. Fast forward to highschool, and you have your first real boyfriend…who you think no matter what happens you'll be with forever, only to find out the opposite. You'll lose touch with those friends who you did everything with, and will have no idea why or how it happened, but that's life. By the time you think you have gotten high school all figured out.. you graduate!
Back to square one you go...well maybe not completely. You realize that you can only really depend on yourself, and that's okay. Now is the time we learn our boundaries, we learn who is actually there for us and who isn't. This is the time when we make some dumb mistakes, and where we are a little too trusting and understanding. You are going to fall of the horse a couple times, but it's okay, because you are going to get right back up and keep trying.
"If at first you don't succeed, Try, Try again."- W.C. Fields
In this life we can only control one thing, and that is you and only you. Its okay to be selfish to an extent. It's okay to buy that shirt, eat that cookie, or stay out all night.. You only get to live life one time..in the end you will only regret the chances you didn't take.
