There are dozens of unspoken truths about Chipotle workers. You don't get to see all of the bad and good things Chipotle has to offer to the public, especially concerning the employees and food. However, I am here to shine a light on some of these realities of Chipotle as a company.

1. Chipotle employees are not allowed to give you more or less than the standard serving amount.

Almost every customer will ask for more rice, beans, or meat. Unfortunately, what customers don't realize, the employees get threatened to be fired if they give you more than they are supposed to. One of Chipotle's strictest rules is their serving amounts.

2. When there are no more fajitas, there are no more.

Chipotle is only allowed to serve a certain amount of vegetables for the fajitas a day. The managers and employees are not allowed to go over the amount because once again, they are threatened to be fired if so.

3. Chipotle employees will stay at work until 2 a.m. washing dishes.

This is one of the worst parts of the job for a Chipotle employee. There are endless dishes!!! So many people come to Chipotle, the employees are constantly washing dishes. I am not exaggerating when I say there are TOWERS of dishes at all times in the back of every Chipotle all day, every day.

4. Chipotle dishes are not as clean as you think.

Because they are endless dishes, the employees are forced to speed wash all the dishes all throughout the day. The dishes aren't checked by the managers either so you can do the math on how clean the dishes really are.

5. Besides the dishes, Chipotle as a whole is actually very clean.

Chipotle employees deep clean/wash the entire restaurant every day, after closing. I was working at Chipotle one day when the owner came in and fired my manager for there being a rice crumb on the floor. Employees are forced to learn how to clean very precise and do the job well.

6. They use the leftover food from the night before for the next day.

Chipotle puts all the remaining food they have except the beans in the freezer so they can serve the leftovers the next morning. I suggest no one go in the morning!

7. There are cameras all over Chipotle.

The managers at Chipotle are very strict with watching the cameras all day at Chipotle. They are supposed to keep an eye on the employees at all times and the customers. This creates strict rules for phone use and serving portions.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
