I have been in New Jersey for a couple of days, and have been able to experience various landmarks of this state. From the amazing food to beautiful attractions, these are the top places to visit if it is one of your first times visiting New Jersey and you need some suggestions. This is my first time ever in New Jersey, and these have been my favorites.

1. Seaside Heights

To start off, Seaside Heights is where the Jersey Shore was filmed. As a newcomer to New Jersey, this has to be the first staple place to visit. Seaside is a boardwalk that has rides, games, and lots of food choices. The Shore Store is an iconic staple that must also be visited. The entire area is basically a shrine to the show, the Jersey Shore, which definitely makes it a top spot to visit.

2. El Meson

El Meson is in Freehold, NJ, and is likely the best Mexican food restaurant in all of New Jersey. I must say while planning my trip to New Jersey, I have heard on various accounts that I must visit this restaurant. Upon visit, I was not disappointed at all. I ordered a chicken and steak burrito, by the way, and it was absolutely amazing.

3. Wawa

Wawa is simply a Cumberland Farms of New Jersey if you know what that is. Basically, Wawa is a convenience store that holds slushies, sandwiches, coffee, snacks, and various other items. All I tried was the slushies, which were very good, but I have heard that the sandwiches are excellent.

4. Inkwell Coffee House

Inkwell is a coffee house located in Long Branch, NJ, and is known for their insane food choices and amazing coffee. The inside is very hip, and the store is generally encompassed with college students who reside in the surrounding college town. This restaurant is discussed very often in New Jersey, and is definitely a good place to seek out if you are looking for great coffee or different foods.

5. Asbury Park

Asbury Park is a boardwalk with various restaurants and shops. The Stone Pony, a large venue, is a big attraction in New Jersey, and it is in Asbury Park. This event center has held various artists, like Bruce Springsteen, for example. This Silverball Museum is also in this beach town, which has various pinball machines that you can play and try to get the highest score.

If you end up getting a high score for your machine, your name is then displayed on top of the machine until the time comes where someone else tops your score. This place is a great idea for a day out with friends, as its something different to do, and extremely fun.

New Jersey has various unknown attractions that I am still doing my best to visit, but these are some of the known few. With this visit, I cannot wait to return to uncover various other landmarks of this state. If I do, I will definitely let you know.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
