“Black is such a happy color,” said Morticia Addams. Black is a very popular color. It matches all other colors and can help the person look elegant without making many choices. However, the color black tends to get a bad rep.

After all, it's often associated with being too plain, too goth or just too "dark." (To be fair, isn't black just the "absence of color?") Black is generally seen as being "serious" and "reliable," so it ranks at the top on the list of colors that both sexes find attractive in another person. The reason? Confidence.

Recent studies have shown that nearly 50% of women and 64% of men agree that black exudes confidence. It shouldn't come as a surprise that black has us feeling confident. From a fashion perspective, it helps you feel put-together, eliminating questions of "Does this match?" from the daily equation and be easily dressed up and down.

Now let me tell you the things that people who only wear black understand:

1. When you're online shopping, you refine the search by color before even thinking about other things. Even if it's the wrong size, it's fine because it's black, right?

2. Looking for specific items in your wardrobes takes approximately 5 times the amount of time it takes a normal person because EVERYTHING LOOKS THE SAME.

3. Black is always chic, never goes out of style and will always be sophisticated. Plus it's the best color for being sassy in.

4. You always look fierce.

5. It's glaringly obvious if you have a pet, especially one that sheds a lot.

6. People keep telling you to wear color as if black wasn’t a color.

7. You’ve heard numerous jokes simply because of the color of your outfits.

8. Some people might find you intimidating.

9. Nobody realizes if you wear the same pair of jeans 4 times in a row because all your clothes are pretty much identical anyway.

10. People assume you’re insecure or goth.

11. When you are so ready for your all black everything outfit but it’s a billion degrees outside.

12. Laundry is easy because you don't need to separate things by color.

13. You feel very smug in the knowledge that if you spill something on yourself, it's not all that noticeable unless it’s powder.

Black is the most powerful of all color, every color comes out black. The universe is black, every galaxy every planet or Sun resides inside of the black universe. Black is a color of power, mystery, sophistication. You are more likely to be taken seriously. All around black is a useful color and goes with just about everything. A person wearing black could be sad or depressed, anxious, etc. Or they could be an upbeat person. Black doesn't necessarily define the person wearing it. Black is the best color ever.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
