For anyone who has thick hair, you know that it always comes with challenges. There are so many things about having thick hair that many people don't think about! I mean, anyone who has thick hair knows the constant struggles that you have to deal with that people who have thin hair don't have to deal when it comes to styling your hair. Or having to blow dry it for hours. Here are 12 daily struggles that any girl who has long, thick hair can relate to!
1. You Always Get Asked Why You Don't Grow Your Hair Out

Maybe because even if I grow it out, you don't notice as much. Or because I'd have to deal with migraines on a daily basis. The migraines definitely aren't worth it.
2. You Have To Fight With Your Hair To Brush It

Every morning is a daily struggle with keeping your hair brushed. You have to fight to even get one strand brushed. And somewhere along the process, you lose your brush. And for girls that really have long, thick hair, sometimes you'll go through multiple brushes after breaking each of them.
3. Styling Your Hair Is A Nightmare

Styling your hair is a huge struggle. First, you have to figure out what you can even do with it that will make it look remotely okay. Then you have to fight with it to even get it to look somewhat decent. It never ends up looking like Mia post-makeover in the movie "The Princess Diaries" where her thick hair turns into a perfect hairstyle.
4. You Have To Use Tons Of Conditioner

Not one small amount, but a huge quarter size. There's no such thing as a little bit of conditioner. If you could, you'd probably use a handful.
5. Your Shower Drain is Always Clogged
Your family or roommates may complain that you're constantly having to clean the shower drain, but it's not like you can help that your hair constantly sheds. Plus, it sheds no matter whether you're taking a shower or simply walking to another room.
6. You Can't Drive With The Windows Down

Your hair will never recover from being blown around by the wind.
7. There Are No Hair Ties That Will Withstand Your Hair
You may envy the people who can wear scrunchies because your hair can't even hold a hair tie. Keeping your hair up rarely happens. And most of the hair ties you have end up breaking.
8. You Can Never Get Your Hair 100 Percent Dry

You have to accept that your hair will never be 100% dry. You'd have to spend an hour drying it to even get 70% dry. And don't even mention to me what it's like drying your hair while being in a humid climate when you're on vacation!
9. You're Hair Is A Huge Tangled Mess In The Morning
Every morning you wake up wondering how bad your hair will be. One day it may be fine, then the next it'll be a big tangled bird's nest.
10. Having Your Hair Nice And Straight Until You Go Outside In The Rain

When so much as a rain drop touches your hair, your hair becomes frizzy again. And all of that hard work getting your hair to be not frizzy is basically gone. It's extremely frustrating!
11. You Can Never Wear Your Hair In A Bun Without Bobby Pins

If anyone thinks that wearing a bun is easy, they've never had to deal with having thick hair. Having thick hair means that you can never put your hair in a bun without fighting with it. It's the same with wearing your hair up in any type of style. Even having your hair up in a ponytail means using tons of bobby pins to keep every strand in place.
12. Your Hair Is Constantly In The Way

Finally, anyone with thick hair knows that their hair is always in the way. There's always a strand hitting your face or someone else's. And when you try to push it back, then there's another long strand to replace it! And your hair is always getting stuck or in the way when you try to read or eat.
As you can see, there are a lot of struggles with having thick hair. It can be a lot more work than what most people probably think. And if you have curly hair, it can especially be a challenge to style your hair every day. It's something to keep in mind for anyone who has thin hair and thinks people with thick hair have it better.
