Sometimes you find yourself waking up to the sound of rain against your window and before even getting out of bed you already know you won't be leaving your house that day. However, staying in could get dull fast – there are endless possibilities and yet you find your mind blanking out when it comes to something to do.

The next time you find yourself prepping for a cozy rainy day in, try considering these options:

1. Watch a movie or TV show you've always been meaning to see

A rainy day where you can't go outside and do the thngs you'd normally do is a perfect opportunity to catch up on a great film or show that you've never got around to actually watching due to your busy schedule.

2. Make a pot of coffee

The perfect drink to keep you cozy during a rainy day, coupled with the aroma of roasting coffee beans emulating from your kitchen is a perfect way to keep comfortable inside while raindrops patter on your window.

3. Read a book

Nobody reads anymore. Take this chance to stay inside and read a book that's been gathering dust on your shelf for a while, or one of the all-time greats that you've been lying to everyone saying you've already read.

4. Play some good music

No matter what you're doing, the perfect rainy day environment needs to be complemented with some good tunes to keep the background occupied with anything from classic rock to vapor-wave.

5. Call your friends over

If it's a rainy day for you, chances are it's a rainy day for your friends as well. Take this opportunity to call them over so you can all chill inside, listen to music, drink coffee and talk about life.

6. Light a candle

Another way to amplify the coziness of your place while the rain continues outside is to light a candle. Have it fill the room with a lovely scent and warm you up to contribute to the cozy vibe of staying indoors all day.

7. Nap

Does this even need an explanation?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
