The rush and pressure to buy Christmas gifts for our loved ones can sometimes take away from what the holiday should really be about: seeing people you might only see a few times a year and spending quality time with them. Gifts should be cute little thoughts, not bank-breakers. That being said, here are a few suggestions for what to get your favourite bookworm for Christmas.
1. Books.
Starting with the obvious.
2. More books.
There are never too many. Trust us. Never.
3. Book recommendations.
“You should read….” is a phrase that gets me going. Please, tell me more. Also: free!
4. Slippers.
And some fluffy socks too, while you’re at it.
5. Pajamas/a onesie.
I live in pajamas. If you can add to my daily wardrobe, you’re more than welcome to.
6. Mugs.
Fact: cute mugs make your beverage taste better. It’s not me, it’s science.
7. Coffee.
I’ll take all the holiday roasts, please.8. Tea.
Same goes for tea -- especially apple cinnamon. It’s Christmas in a cup.9. Anything that makes home more comfortable.
Home is where I plan to spend this break, and I need all the blankets/pillows/festive decorations.
10. Company. A reading buddy.
Someone to read a book next to or watch The Office with.
