It's December here in San Diego and it is still 85 degrees.
Now, some may think this is amazing. As much as I enjoy sunny weather all the time, the fact there is only one season in San Diego is getting old.
December should be a time to wear jackets and drink hot chocolate and gather around a fire — instead, I'm sweating in a tank top because it's so damn hot. I'm not asking for snow — just a day I can wear a sweatshirt and pants without dying on the way to class.
The fact that people are going to the beach on December 15th is simply ridiculous.
Yes, I know this is a horrible thing to be complaining about, but sometimes you just need some cozy sweater weather.
Fall leaves and season changes are not present in Southern California, which I feel is necessary to get into the Christmas spirit and mindset. How can I wear my fuzzy Christmas socks and ugly sweater in 85-degree weather? I simply cannot.
It is just outstanding that I am trying to crank my A.C even higher on December 15th.
Northern California has always been home for me, where it is currently 50 degrees and raining. That is where I wish to be, in my car while it rains listening to Christmas music.
The San Diego beach is nice and all, but if Mother Nature could help me out and throw in a little rain or cold weather I'd be really appreciative.
San Diego has its perks, but it couldn't hurt to throw a curveball to the weather sometimes.
