Procrastination

1. Monday

I am Kevin and the chili is my midterm grades.

Only 4 days left of classes. You can occupy yourself by studying for midterms and writing those papers you have due. The only thing is…. It’s Monday and we all hate Mondays. Keep your head up and work hard. I know it feels like life is falling apart.

2. Tuesday

Tuesdays are such awkward days, the are pretty much as worse as Monday except now you are one day closer to that crazy spring break you are hoping for. You spend today studying and working on papers and deep down inside you think it will never end and you are going insane.

3. Wednesday

HUMP DAY!! You have made it! Only 2 more days until you are home, or even better… Laying on a beach somewhere. You are so close to that finish line but you have a few more pesky midterms in the way. You begin packing and waiting for the moment you can say “see ya” to the campus.

4. Thursday

ONE. MORE. DAY. You only have one more test tomorrow and then you are free so spend the day finishing up packing and studying for that one last exam. Nothing can bring you down because there are only 24 hours left!

5. Friday

Finally! It’s the weekend and more importantly the start of your week off! You can’t wait to leave campus and get somewhere far far away. You can now treat yourself for surviving an awful week of waiting and studying.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
