All basics are the same, and so are their friend groups. If you’re a Starbucks loving, Tori Burch wearing, Grey’s Anatomy watching girl like my friends and I are, odds are you can place each of your friends in one of these categories. Because after all, basics are always attracted to other basics.
1. The Extrovert
She rarely runs out of something to say, and when she does everyone knows something is wrong. She’s best friends with all the guys and girls because of her lovable personality, and she’s never afraid to make friends with strangers. Odds are she has embarrassed you in public, but she is definitely a staple in the group and is close with everyone. Overall, the friend group wouldn’t be the same without her, and when she’s sad, so is everyone else.
2. The Bit*h
Whether it be her low tolerance for bull sh*t, or her ability to be annoyed by almost everything, she never fails to be blunt. She never misses the opportunity to sneak a snarky remark into the conversation, and she doesn’t care that everyone can see her rolling her eyes. Even though you may hate her sometimes, you can always rely on her for the truth even if she sucks at delivering it. Also, 90% of all bitc*y friends suffer from RBF (resting bitch face).
3. The Miss Smarty Pants
She applied (and got in to) the hardest colleges, had the best GPA, and is right 98% of the time in friend group debates. Her vocabulary is superb and she excels in all her extracurricular activities. But, she is known to ask questions that cause everyone to question her intelligence. This is good though because she unknowingly stops herself from being a know-it-all all the time.
4. The Miley
Drink, rally, and repeat is how she lives her life. She is always the life of the party because of her great sense of humor and impressive alcohol tolerance. She goes to the biggest party college, and fits right in. Because of her love to party you often find her asking, “did I actually do that?”, and the answer is always yes. 10/10 times the Miley and the extrovert are bff’s.
5. The Introvert
This
friend is very interesting. Although she may be looked over sometimes because
of her shyness, she knows everything because she’s always listening. She’s very concerned when something goes
wrong and usually ends up playing mom at parties. When she’s one-on-one with her best friend
she doesn’t stop talking or cracking jokes, but in a big group she keeps to herself. 10/10 times the shy friend is super hot and
gets along well with The Bit*h.
6. The Hepburn
She has the best clothes, accessories, and boyfriend and everyone is a little jealous whether they’ll admit it or not. She’s always the first to find the latest fashion trends and always has the most creative ideas. She always wants to do something fun and has a very low tolerance for sitting around. She’s very loyal and likes to party, but she only drinks expensive vodka and always keeps it classy.
7. The Hot Mess
She’s
always 45 minutes late and completely flustered. Her outfits never make sense but she always
pulls them off. She has a million things
to do at all times and will sometimes disappear for days, but no one is ever concerned. Because she’s always busy, she turns into a
wild child when her work is done, and craves a good party.
8. The Therapist
She knows everything about everyone in the group because she’s there for you no matter what. She was everyone’s #1 friend at some point and uses it to her advantage when giving advice. No matter the situation you’re in, you can always turn to her to for the best advice, and she has seen everyone in the group cry at least 8 times.
9. The “WTF”
You’re friend group isn’t the first she’s been in, not because she is un-liked, but because she has the most random friends. Odds are she was close with someone in every friend group in high school, and makes time to hang out with all of them. She’s very weird, but in the best way, and is always the star of everyone’s Snapchat stories. Always leaves you asking “wtf?”
10. The Sweetheart
Easily the cutest friend, usually short, and always bubbly. She’s constantly looking to do something fun and is really good at staying out of drama, mostly because it’s impossible to be mad at her. Much like The Hepburn everyone loves her so she’s always the first invited to parties. She's truly a loyal friend who you can always count on to make you smile. She gets along swimmingly with the Hepburn.
