Since I've been officially counting down to Christmas since October, I think it's now acceptable to name some of the greatest Christmas movies of all time to prepare for the Holiday season. Every year I look forward to ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas showcasing the best movies to cozy up to with peppermint hot chocolate in your warm hands.

1. Elf

"The best way to spend Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear."

2. Home Alone

"KEVIN!"

3. The Year Without A Santa Clause

"I'm Mr. Heat Miser..." (que song)

"I'm Mr. Snow Miser..." (que song again)

4. Dr. Suess' How The Grinch Stole Christmas

"Hate hate hate, double hate, LOATHE ENTIRELY!"

5. Polar Express

"Allllllllllll aboard!"

"I believe."

6. Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town

Burgermeister Meisterburger: "A yo-yo? I love yo-yos! I used to be able to do all kinds of tricks! Ooh wheeeeeeeeee! Hoo hoo hoo hoo!"

7. Eloise at Christmastime

Eloise: [talking about nanny always saying things three times] "I asked her once why she always did that... then she told me not to be so rude, rude, rude!"

8. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Eddie: "Merry Christmas. Shitter was full."

9. Rudolph's Shiny New Year

Rudolph: "I wish he would have come to me first. I know just how he felt. I bet they called him names and wouldn't let him play in any New Year games."

10. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys

Rudolph: "The idea was to dress up as a toy, Hermey."

Hermey the Elf, D.D.S: "I'm a misfit molar."

11. Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July

Crystal: "Smile, Frosty. Lilly says the key to show business is if you smile."

If you're wondering where I am this break, catch me in my living room watching every single one of these on repeat.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
