The Stages of New Years Eve As Told By The Office

8:00PM - Setup

You have your beer, your wine, your liquor, your veggie platters, your chicken wings, and your tub of kidney beans

.

8:30PM - Everyone starts piling in.

You have the party goers who know their one and only goal is to black out as hard as they did in college because New Years Day is nothing more than the first out of many failed attempts at a high reaching resolution.

And those who are much more excited about whatever this new year will bring them.

8:31PM - Drinks are flowing...heavily.

9:00PM - You're sufficiently buzzed and ready for a snack.

The cheese platter seems to be untouched but everyone's thinking the same thing. Who's going to make the first move?

But we all prepare in different ways...

9:30PM - "Sometimes you just have to be the boss of dancing." -Michael G Scott

10:00PM - Conversation starts heating up.

True feelings are shooting out like wildfire.

Someone's bound to get offended.

The rest of you just keep sippin'.

10:30PM - Your freaky side comes out to play when your dancing gets a little more...interesting.

There's the ladies,

And the gentlemen.

11:00PM - The drunken heart-to-hearts break out in different rooms throughout the house.

Someone somewhere is questioning every decision ever made in 2016.

11:15PM - Words start slurring.

Everything stops making sense.

11:30PM - Everyone reconvenes for an poorly-timed group photo.

"COME ON GUYS GROUP PHOTO GROUP PHOTO. EVERYONE GET IN. RONNIE, THAT MEANS YOU TOO. GET OVER HERE GREGORY OR YOUR SLEEPING IN THE DOG BED TONIGHT."

11:45PM - True resolutions trickle out of unsuspecting party goers.

11:58PM - THE ANTICIPATION KILLS YOU.

12:00 - 3! 2! 1! MAKEOUT!

Unless you're as single as Michael Scott - then you just watch.

Go crazy, everyone. You survived 2016.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
