The Opening Night Thrill

Every theatre kid has been there.

Who is going to come see the show you have literally been pouring your life into for the past four months?

Will the funny bit land? Like will people actually laugh when they are supposed to?

Will I forget my lines?

Will somebody die and we need a last minute replacement?

Will I fart onstage?

...will I fart offstage?

Will I have a wardrobe malfunction after the quick change?

Why are my arm pits so sweaty?

Are we going out after the show?

When will curtain call get here?

Is it over yet?

Are they loving this?

Am I loving this?

When was our call time again?

Will this be the worst show I have ever been in?

Was that the best show I have ever been in?

It was?! Thanks mom :)

I remember how exciting summer was when I was a kid. I would just be eagerly waiting for school to end so that I could fly to some exotic location with my family for the summer. Or hang out with my friends every day. Or just lay around in bed or read, paint, draw, basically do whatever.
