Slinging sludge as usual.

In This Article:

This week's article brings you a new "meme theme" as I like to call them along with some other, older meme formats that had new life injected back into them recently. Try not to dislike this week's article too much. My fragile male ego can only take so much.

Memes:

1. Brrr!

Checkmate!

Wow doesn't that argument just give you the chills? It really makes you think about all of the nice, sustainable things you shouldn't be doing for the Earth.

2. Misguided Instructors!

I've been very disappointed with your child's behavior.

The Tintin memes were quite popular this week in the world of the internet, here is one example of the sad truth that tweens have to deal with on a regular basis

3. *Breathes Heavily*

Woah there friend, get our of her with your lamp talk.

Welcome to the theme of this week's examiner! The junkie moth that is in a fervent search for his next lamp! The way this meme is able to turn a rather unsettling picture of a moth into meme gold with a simple sentence is just golden.

4. Moth Dad to the Rescue!

Having a moth for a dad must be complicated

Yet another entry in the moth theme this week is this meme. It takes the classic meme form of a son asking his father about his sister's name, but the addition of the moth refreshes this stale format

5. Hardy Sea-moth

Toward the big lamp!

Captain moth here leads us on a journey like no other. He doesn't settle for those mediocre lamps like the other moths, he has goals that reach further than even the seven seas. He sets his sights on some of the biggest lamps in the world! North Carolina coast beware!

6. Daily Summer Math Practice!

I love high fives

The infamous phrase "this should be familiar to you all from the previous math course" followed by horrified silence from the class is just music to my ears.

7. Popularity Hilarity

Sneaky boy

The disappointment is tangible in this meme. Almost as tangible as my disappointment in nearly every residence hall event I have attended at UNC

8. Sweet Dreams!

This solves my problem, thanks.

As someone who suffers from allergies, I can relate to this meme. As soon as you begin to feel the allergy relief you begin to lose all motor control and you drift off into a deep, dark slumber.

9. Hit 'em With It!

How are you supposed to follow that guy up??

Jesus back at it again. Showing off all of the cool abilities God gave him. All he gave me was a Wii Sports bowling skill and a gracefully receding hairline!

10. Exquisite!

She found the one.

Why can't I find men like that?

Good memes.

Good "yeet."

Good God let's get out of here.

Goodbye.

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour
StableDiffusion

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
