I Asked 5 People What They Think The Meaning Of Love Is

What is the meaning of love? Everyone sees and interprets love differently, so I went and asked five very different people what love meant to them. There responses made me want to cry!!! Love is such a beautiful thing that you share with family, friends, and/or significant others. Love is what brings everyone together. Love is such strong feeling, I literally feel it in my bones.

Here are the quotes I got on everyones perspective on love:

“Looking at a person and feeling at home” (Angelica, 18)

“You know you are in love for real when you can look a someone and literally have a mental conversation with you facial expressions and eyes. When you can real someone well enough to like accurately predict what they are thinking. That’s freaking love man.” (George, 20)

“Love to me means patience, forgiveness, and above all commitment. Love is nothing without commitment.” (Megan, 18)

“No one has ever asked me this before. Love means everything to me. Every relationship in my life is based upon love. Love is the glue that holds everyone together and keeps the world from falling apart. I would do anything for the ones I truly love. I feel like love today just gets thrown around and people don’t take the time to realize what it really is.

People say “ily” and “love u” like it’s just an average feeling that is handed out so commonly. Love to my friends and family is a feeling of comfort and security. I know them best and I know I can count on my loved ones for anything. Being in love on the other hand is a totally different story. That is feeling this overwhelming of warmth, angst, and excitement over someone. That is feeling like they're another part of you that is missing.

That is feeling like you're becoming a better person every time you're in your presents. That is the feeling of not caring or knowing about anything else in the world except being with the one you're in love with. Love is something that only people who have been in love understand.” (Korey, 19)

“Love is like reading one of my favorite books that I’ve already read before. It’s the feeling of familiarity and comfort, but there’s still an element of excitement. It feels like being enraptured by the story and never wanting to put the book down. Luckily though there is no “the end” when it comes to love.” (Caitlin, 19)

I think it's beautiful that no matter how different all five of these people were from each other, they still have the same viewpoint on love. Love is what brings us closer together.

Reading what everyone thought of love made me tear up. Everyone is so deserving of love. I hope that you're able to radiate love everywhere you go and receive it from everyone you encounter. And I pray that you fall in love.I pray that everyone knows that love should be forgiving. Love has no boundaries. And most importantly, love should never hurt. Not physically nor mentally. Love is not perfect and love is not easy but it is patient.

I want to thank my parents for giving me a perfect example of what love is supposed to look like. And I want to thank everyone I’ve given and received love from. Loves impact is unforgettable.

P.S. I’d like to start something new for my frequent readers!! I will start giving out a specific song name that I feel fits the article most that you can play as you read! This weeks song is Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens! Enjoy xx

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
