Ok, so I am not someone that wears makeup a lot. It has never been me, or something I liked, but every once in awhile I break out my kit and I like to put on some things just to make me feel extra pretty.

As someone who does not wear makeup religiously, but is constantly on the go, these are my items that I bring everywhere I go.

1. A staple Eye Palette

I know you have ten of these. I know you like to use colors from all of them, but when you’re on the go, the essential thing to have is just one eye palette to work with, because the worse thing that can happen is when you open your bag and you have nothing to even touch your eyes with.

2. A lip scrub

I know most people would say this is not an essential, but as someone who has been converted, it practically lives in my go bag. It is just a nice thing to have a little personal moment with and everyone needs a little self-indulgence here and there.

3. A powerful lip color

I know a lot of women who are almost afraid of the more vibrant colors. This is silly. Be loud and proud and force people to look at your lips when you have something to say and I know we all have something to say. Give your thoughts and ideas a little credit.

4. cheap foundation

No, do not bring your fancy forty dollar foundation everywhere you go. For one, you might lose it (that would be me). For two, you might break it. And nobody needs a fancy glass bottle of foundation covering the inside of their bag.

5. Highlighter

Highlighter was one of the best things ever invented. Be proud of your face.

Here is the thing about makeup it cannot change what you look like it can only accentuate features you already have. Many of us use makeup incorrectly in that we use it to mask what we do not want others to see, but what it really should be used for is to show off what beautiful people we are. And all of us are. I promise.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
