I’m ready to be home alone in my bed watching Home Alone, but before I can accomplish that, I need to get through the worst two weeks of the semester. Finals, papers, stress, and no sleep are what I have to look forward to for the next two weeks. Soon, it will have been worth it, and I’ll be able to watch all of my favorite Christmas movies while snuggling with my dogs. But first, I must survive this semester. In honor of one of those favorite Christmas movies that I can not wait to watch, here is a summary of the end of the semester as told by Home Alone:
1. When you have either a test or an assignment due literally every single day and there’s just simply no time to do it all
2. When this is your mood 24/7 because you feel like you’re dying
3. When you know you should start studying but instead, you avoid your responsibilities and procrastinate
4. Walking out on the last day of that one class you hated
5. Once you actually start studying you have no time to go to the dining halls or eat actual food so you make do with whatever is in your room
6. When someone in your class asks you if you think you’re going to do well on the exam
7. Handing your teacher a paper that you know is so terrible
8. Finding out that the final is cumulative
9. Laughing at what a joke your life is
10. When it’s that point in the semester where you cross the street without looking and just hope for the best
11. When your friend shares their study guide with you
12. When you have a little glimpse of happiness at the thought of Christmas being so close
13. Looking at the exam questions and not even knowing where to begin
14. Walking out of your last exam
15. Not wanting to check your grades
16. Explaining your grades to your parents...
17. Thinking about those people who wrote the exams
18. Finally getting to go home
