Thanksgiving is right around the corner, thank God! Thanksgiving is such an amazing time to stuff your face with a bunch of food and be in a food coma for two days. However, we cannot lose sight of what the real meaning of Thanksgiving is about! I know that life sometimes gets crazy, and thank you's are forgotten to be said, even though thank you's sometimes are not even close to what they deserve. But thank you's do go a long way. These thank you's you definitely shouldn't forget this Thanksgiving.
1. Mom and Dad
Thank you mom and dad for everything. I know that things haven't always been sunshine and rainbows. I know we have fought so much and I have said some super mean things. You have given me a life to live, you have kept me protected you have made sure that I was safe as much as possible. You have watched me grow over the years, not trying to tell me who I should be or what I should be but you did give your opinion. At times I never wanted your opinion when you gave it, but I am super happy you did. I am happy to call you Mom and Dad. Thank you for supporting me even in times you didn't fully agree with what I was doing. Thank you for watching every sporting event, even when I truly sucked. Thank you for making sure I always had everything I have ever wanted, to the best of your ability. Thank you for being who you are. You are the best. You have always made sure I had clothes on my back and food to eat. I know sometimes I took that for granted, but now I understand. I know that you thought I was such an ungrateful child when I would pout when you'd tell me no, but thank you for saying no when I needed to hear it. Mom, thank you for giving birth to me - I know childbirth may not be easy, but thank you for being strong and bringing me into this world. Dad, thank you for being there for mom, thank you for loving her and showing me what true love is.
2. Siblings
WELLLLLLL siblings, even though you make have to share mom and dad with you, super annoying because the attention should always be me, but it's fineā¦. (KIDDING). Seriously, thank you for being you. Thank you for being my built-in friends. Thank you for being my right hands when mom and dad are fighting with me. Thank you for making me angry one minute and laughing so hard the next. Thank you for teaching me that sharing is okay, and it's caring. Thank you for being there for me when I really needed to cry, and then if I was crying over something totally silly, not worth my tears, and thank you for making fun of me for it. Thank you for being there for me when I am bored out of my mind. A huge thank you for being my other wardrobes!! Thank you for teaching me that everyone is different, but still can be friends. Thank you for teaching me to laugh at the little moments. Thank you for being there for me when things got tough at home. Thank you for reminding me how ugly I am, but also that I am so pretty all at the same time. Thank you for teaching me how to lovingly annoy someone - Lord knows that only siblings can teach that to you. Thank you for teaching me how prank you. Thank you for being my built-in entertainment. Thank you for being you.
3. Grandparents

Thank you for always being here for me when I really needed it. Thank you for giving me 100% accurate advice when I thought you were so wrong. Thank you for always keeping me fed. Thank you for being my biggest supporters and never seeing anything bad in me. Thank you for constantly complimenting me no matter what. Thank you for teaching me that life is way too short to be anything but happy. Thank you for teaching me that old school things are still super cool. Thank you for always giving me a big hug and kiss no matter what - grandparents honestly give the best hugs and kisses when they see you! Thank you for always being so excited to see me. Thank you for teaching me that life is important to live but don't forget about my education. Thank you for always sending me cards for every holiday just because. Thank you for being there for me whenever my parents were sick. Thank you for watching me when my parents were busy. Thank you for always being there. Thank you that even though some of you have passed you still send signs from up above. Thank you for the ones that are still here with us you send me signs that remind me of you, and always bring a smile. Thank you for always making your special dishes just for me, even though it is a lot of work. Thank you for teaching me skills I never thought I would ever want to know. Thank you for being the fun versions of my parents. Thank you for always telling me stories about my parents that I can tease them about! Thank you for being you, thank you for keeping me young when all I wanted to was grow up. Thank you for being my biggest fans. Thank you for teaching me the importance of family.
4. Best Friends
Thank you for being my best friends.Thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin. I know sometimes it is hard to be friends with me because I am so difficult. You deserve the entire world, you have been through everything with me. Whether you're a new best friend or an old best friend, thank you for watching out for me from the beginning. Thank you for judging me without judging me. Thank you for being a parent when I needed a parent talk. Thank you being there at 2 am when all I wanted to do was talk. Thank you for always being my gossip partners and thank you for being my support system away from home. Thank you for being so close to me that I consider you family. There are not a lot of people in this world that can fill the shoes of a good best friend, but you do. You are my siblings from another mother. I am so blessed to have met you, especially when I need someone to go eat with, at all times. Thank you for keeping my secrets and sharing yours with me. Thank for all the good laughs and cries. Thank you for being my professional therapist when needed, Dr. Phil, or my dancing with the stars partner. Thank you all for being my Christianas to my Meredith. Thank you for being as psycho as I am.
5. The Ex
I know relationships don't always work out, and that is all thanks to you. Thank you for showing me how badly someone could hurt you and you are better than that heart break. Thank you for the good times before things got bad. Thank you for showing me that some people aren't always meant to be in your lives forever, but to enjoy them when they are. Thank you for teaching me that I am stronger than I thought. Thank you for showing me how fast I could lose my patience but that doesn't mean I hate you. Thank you for being able to teach me that someone can destroy you so hard but you have to keep pushing, you'll get through it. Thank you for teaching me that my happiness should not be based on one person but rather my happiness should be based off of me. Thank you for showing me that not everyone is what they seem to be. Thank you for showing me that you won't be heartbroken forever. Thank you for teaching me that if you aren't growing in a relationship, they are holding you back. Thank you for showing me that I should watch people actions rather than listening. Thank you for showing me that there is more to life than a relationship and when I start focusing only on a relationship, losing sight of my priorities to put my head back on straight and leave.
6. The people who doubt you

Thank you for teaching me that I am stronger than I ever thought, I am able to accomplish way more than I ever thought. Thank you for being my motivation when I was ready to quit. Thank you for showing me that it doesn't matter if someone doesn't believe in you, as long as you believe in yourself. Thank you for showing me that truly the people who really doubt you that their doubt becomes true hatred are just jealous of what you are accomplishing because they can't do half of what you do.
7. Random Strangers
Lastly but not least, thank you for the random strangers that I have met in my life through chance. Thank you for being you, thank you for your random acts of kindness that remind me that there is still good in this world. Thank you choosing to be kind. You rock.
