Thank You, Ellen Degeneres

Dear Ellen,

As a young adult, I have seen your show while surfing channels for around 13 years. Your show has been a part of my life for over half of my existence. And every time "The Ellen Show" appears in my guide, I just can't say no. In one click, I face laughs, celebrities, and outrageous giveaways. So, on behalf of my generation, on behalf of adults who clearly remember your first episode, on behalf of all humanity: I thank you.

Your show is full of so many surprises every episode that honestly, I can not even call them "surprises" anymore. They are expectations, and Ellen, you surpass all of my talk show viewing standards. Between your dancing, your exciting segments, and your huge, heart-warming smile, your show just never gets old.

I love seeing every celebrity that is on each episode. It never feels like I am watching an interview, but it feels as if I am casually eavesdropping on you conversing with another famous person. You get to know each of your guests, giving viewers a better understanding of who they are and why they are worthy of being on your show. That's right...I said worthy because to me it would be the highest of honors to be a guest in your presence.

There is not a single episode that has left me with a dry eye, as you flood your audience with the funniest personality and you give joy to those who truly deserve it. You have used your fame and sense of humor in the best way possible, having normal people who face hardships and triumphs sit on the couch on your set. You give so many rewards and more importantly, second chances to so many ordinary people who just deserve something extraordinary. I applaud you, I thank you, and I look up to you for showing the world what the word "generosity" actually entails.

As season 14 of your incredible talk show has started, I can not wait for more laughs from you. I can hardly anticipate the next person you are going to interview. You give your audience what they want: love, laughter, and lots of fun. "The Ellen Show" is, in my opinion, the most entertaining talk show in so many ways. So I just thought you should know how much you crack me up and how even millennials enjoy your show daily. Congratulations on being such a perfect famous person.

We all love you,

From,

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
