It's that time of year again!

It's that time of year and back to school time hits everyone differently. My little sister is in high school and feels like her summer was too short; my friends who live on campus with me agree that the summer is dragging on for just a tad too long. After the first month of living without the people I had grown accustomed to spending every second of every day with, I was ready to move back to the dorms. I also really love stationary and all things back-to-school, and will probably buy a bunch of school items that I don’t actually need. I’ve been watching college/studying YouTubers and reading college blogs since I moved home (but let’s be honest, I do that year-round… oops?) Here are ten of my favorite college/school YouTubers:

1. Margot Lee

Margot is a sophomore at Syracuse. She posts vlogs, various hauls, and videos documenting her life at Syracuse. In addition to posting lifestyle videos about college, she posts videos about eating vegan with recipes for vegan meals and snacks. I love her energy and watching her videos, she inspires me to better myself.

2. LilyLikeCom

Lilia is a Philosophy of a Scientific Field and Law student at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Like Margot, she posts lifestyle and vlog videos, but she also posts study videos every other Friday. She does study videos in real time, and for some reason, her study videos motivate me to study and want to do better in my own school work.

3. Study To Success

Estella is entering 12th grade, so she isn’t a college YouTuber… yet. Regardless, she posts great school related videos. She has study tips, study-with-me videos, stationery videos, and vlogs about school. She just started a segment on her channel called “Tea with E.” I love the chatty videos where it feels like you’re having a conversation with the YouTuber. They’re just so personable and helps me feel connected to the YouTuber.

4. Studyign

Sareena just graduated from high school, so newly a college student but I’ve been watching her channel for over a year now. She posts study videos and school advice videos, which I love. She posted study routines, including summer study routines which continue to keep me motivated and ready to get back to the grind come September. She also posts videos about her bullet journal, a tool that I adapted to something that I could use to keep myself organized after watching so many of her videos.

5. Katherout

Katherine recently graduated from the University of Southern California and is finishing up a month long hiatus while she did some post-graduation traveling. Katherine has videos ranging from living in the dorms to living in off-campus housing with friends, and she posts great videos about motivating yourself, how to deal with burning out during the semester, and has even posted videos about mental health. Overall, I’ve found her channel to be full of videos that are motivating and entertaining and helpful when it comes to navigating college.

6. Study with Jess

Jess is no longer a student, but her channel is full of videos pertaining to schools. She does a back-to-school series, school DIYs, study tips, and various routines. Her channel has an all around good vibe. She’s another YouTuber that I find super motivational and she makes me want to be really productive.

7. tbhstudying

This channel is another channel that posts bullet journaling videos, which helped me formulate how to use the idea of bullet journaling to keep myself organizing. She also does stationery videos, studying tips, and calligraphy videos. The calligraphy videos are beautiful and they’re basically tutorials, so if you want to make your notes a little more fun to look at you completely can.

8. Jem

Jem’s videos are short, sweet, and to the point, which contrasts most other school related accounts; many accounts are super chatty, which I love, but Jem’s videos contrast that nicely with other studying and stationary videos that are straight to the point, most, if not all, of her videos are under five minutes. Jem is another recent high school graduate, so recently a “college” account, but another account that I’ve been watching for what seems like forever.

9. studyquill

Jasmine posts videos about studying, stationary, and productivity. Like tbhstudying, she posts videos about lettering, including videos on how to do brush lettering with markers you may already have around your house. She’s also posted videos about apps that help promote productivity and good “studying soundtracks.” Another channel that I have found overall to be really helpful and make me want to spend more time on my schoolwork.

10. Caitlin’s Corner

Caitlin originally started as an account reading and reviewing books, but on this channel, she has videos all about routines, journalling, planning, and college! This is yet another channel that influenced how I decided to use bullet journalling. She also has DIYs, baking videos, stationery videos, etc. Caitlin is another youtuber with great energy who I enjoy watching and enjoy listening to, which is another aspect of her channel that I love.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
