When Taylor Swift announced on December 13th that she had a special coming to Netflix on New Year's Eve, I immediately knew my plans for that day. Being an avid concert lover and a fan of Taylor, I couldn't wait to watch the performance that she did on her stadium tour for her latest album, Reputation. It was an amazing viewing experience, and here are seven reasons you should dedicate two hours of your time to Taylor.

1. Taylor's Natural Talent

When you see somebody in concert, it's important that they are talented and provide a fun atmosphere. Throughout the entire concert, Taylor's voice shines in all her songs. With the help of background singers, her songs sound like you're listening to the album recording.

2. Taylor's Outfits

Taylor has around eight outfit changes throughout the performance, each fitting for the song she performs while wearing them. They are all incredibly gorgeous and add to the overall concert experience. It's impossible to even pick a favorite outfit because they all tie the performance together.

3. Throwbacks

Even though this stadium tour is for Reputation, Taylor also throws in some of her older songs. During the first act, she performs a medley that consists of Style, Love Story, and You Belong With Me, which you don't want to miss out on. These songs and several others pay homage to her day one fans and give them a chance to shout out the lyrics to these older titles.

4. The Crowd

I briefly mentioned this in the last point, but in this Netflix special, you see the audience jump around and scream out the lyrics to each and every song. You also get the best view of the concert and the opportunity to see her number one fans dressed up, dancing in the crowd.

5. Taylor's Genuine Happiness

There is nothing better than seeing the performer enjoy what they are doing. You know it's genuine when they are singing their heart out and smiling throughout all the songs. Even if you're not a huge fan of Taylor, you can't deny how passionate she is while performing.

6. Lyrics

I think that Taylor Swift is one of the best songwriters because of the relatability of her lyrics. On this album, in particular, Taylor's words are really dynamic and powerful. Hearing them live (to a certain extent) was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved every second of it.

7. Taylor's Gratitude

It was clear that Taylor was extremely grateful for everybody that had some part in her stadium tour. During Gorgeous, she introduced each of her dancers and gave them a piece of the spotlight. She also thanked her band, back up singers, and the 368 people who helped set up the tour and travel all across the US. Taylor honestly cares about everybody on this tour and made sure to acknowledge those who drive the trucks, do the lighting, and set up the stage, which is just another reason to be a swiftie.

Spare two hours for this performance, and you won't be disappointed. I promise you will enjoy every aspect of Taylor's concert and don't blame me for when you want to watch it again.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
