What better way to spend a summer day than going to an amusement park. For people in the New Jersey area, we are lucky that we have an awesome park right near us! Six Flags Great Adventure is full of rides everyone can enjoy and a great place to make memories with family and friends. However, the park can get seriously crowded so it's important to know which rides to go on, and don't forget to get there early! All of the major roller coasters at six flags are worth the wait. As a person who gets motion sickness looking down at her phone on 15-minute car rides, you probably would not expect me to be a rollercoaster fiend. But, unfortunately (for my stomach), I am. When going to a job interview, you would like to think that if the hiring manager were to choose to not offer you the position, they would have a good reason to do so. Unfortunately, this is not the reality for many black people with braids and dreads.

Brandon Kobe Pierce, a black 16-year-old from Texas, was recently denied a job at Six Flags because of his hair. He had been looking forward to the interview because his grandfather had worked at the amusement park 30 years ago. The excitement quickly wore off because, at the end of the interview, Pierce was told that in order to be hired, he would have to cut off his braid that goes down past his shoulders.
