Decriminalizing Homosexuality Is Happening, Regardless Of Who Is In The White House
Y'all better believe it!
Richard Grenell is one of the most high profile openly gay political figures in the current administration. He was appointed by President Trump and confirmed by the Senate early in 2018. Before becoming the U.S. ambassador to Germany, he was previously appointed by President George W. Bush in 2001, and served as director of Communications and Public Diplomacy for the United States Ambassador to the United Nations and advised four U.S. Ambassadors; as well as working on Mitt Romney's campaign as the National Security and Foreign Affairs Spokesman in 2012.
His long brag sheet made him the perfect candidate for ambassador and has helped shed light on the real stance on homosexuality often taken by conservative politicians.

The new effort proposed by the Trump administration seeks to decriminalize homosexuality on a worldwide scale. This was originally sparked by the execution of a young homosexual man in Iran. Grenell is beginning to work with the UN, European Union, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, in addition to nations around the world that are big proponents of LGBT rights, to form and solidify a plan designating a route to achieve this goal.
Consistently a bipartisan issue, the goal of obtaining the international decriminalization of homosexuality has grown in support from both sides of the aisle. Unfortunately, skeptics of the Trump administration and people against LGBT rights still exist and have attempted to undermine this effort.

Regrettably, the number of articles like the one shown above substantiality outweigh the positive ones recognizing this leap for the LGBT community. As a result, the aggregate of hate toward the proposal is dragging it down and encouraging countries like Iran to continue in their horrific ways.
The greatest achievement toward the international decriminalization of homosexuality will most surely arise when the split between the multitude of political parties in the United States ceases to divide the humanity in us and stops preventing everyone from acknowledging a bipartisan goal and striving to achieve it to better the world we live in.
