After my writing my article on how to create your own Yeezy Season sweater for this coming up winter, I decided to do an article on Supreme, another one of my favorite streetwear brands.
Supreme is a brand all too recognizable to the streetwear lover. The red block shape outline with the white letters is a fashion symbol coming from the art of Barbara Kruger’s propaganda art.
If you aren’t in the scene with Supreme, maybe you have seen celebrities wear it. Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Tyler the Creator, Kate Moss, Ian Connor, P. Diddy, Lil Yachty, Kayne, Kim K, ASAP Rocky, Kid Cudi and countless other celebrities have all been seen in Supreme.
A little back ground on Supreme for those who don’t know about the street wear brand: Supreme was created by James Jebbia, a New York native. Jebbia established Supreme in April 1994, opening his first shop on Lafayette Street in downtown Manhattan. He began selling products such as t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts, socks, underwear, shoes, bags, skateboards.. etc.
Jame Jebbia | Creator of Supreme
The thing that fascinates me about Jebbia is his lack of wanting the fame for being the founder of Supreme. There are maybe five articles of Jebbia talking with magazines about his brand. I respect the fact that Jebbia created Supreme not to create fame, but to create a culture in fashion.
Supreme isn’t like most clothing brands, Jebbia really wanted to create his own lane when it comes to the Supreme brand. Unlike other brands Jebbia will only release small amount of items from a collection, typically five to fifteen items, (on Thursdays, at 11). Because of the small amount of products being dropped, it creates a supply and demand with streetwear fans. This also creates a hype for the brand. Jebbia not only does his own products, but will lease collaborations with brands like, Jordan, Vans, The North Face, White Castle, Timberland, Levi’s, Playboy, Kermit the Frog, Three six Mafia, Lady Gaga, and countless others, (P.S. I love the North Face Collaboration, great for the Minnesota cold.)
Here are some Celebs wearing Supreme, Along with collabs Supreme has done.

The newest collab that people are going crazy about is Vineyard Vines. Honestly I didn’t see that coming, but it's fire.
Supreme x Vineyard Vines
Supreme is a very well known brand in the street wear world, so when I go out and see someone in Supreme or someone sees me in Supreme it’s like a instant connection, as funny as that sounds.
Supreme is an easy brand to create outfits with. During the day I will throw on some leggings, a supreme tee, light blue jean jacket with some brown boots and I’m ready to go. Just because it’s a streetwear brand doesn’t mean is has to be only worn during streetwear opportunities.
Supreme doesn’t have a girl’s line, but their clothes are unisex, (so if your boyfriend has Supreme you can rock it too, sharing is caring). If you’re looking for a good gift for someone who appreciates the streetwear culture, a product from Supreme is always a go-to. A bonus with buying Supreme is they give you a sticker.. and who doesn’t love a sticker?
From this article I wanted to get ladies specifically more aware of the Supreme brand. I work with street wear junkies at Piff (Streetwear shop) in Minneapolis, and the boys have taught me a lot about the culture of streetwear and I find it very intriguing coming from high fashion.
I don’t see Supreme slowing down anytime, so don’t sleep on this.
I hope you enjoyed this article, and soon you’ll be rocking Supreme. (:
Your Midwest streetwear stylist,
