I will be the first to say it — I LOVE SODA!

On a hot day in the summer or after a long day of school or work, popping the tab on a cold soda and taking that first sip really is magic. But, there is one soda that I love with all of my heart that is massively underrated. It’s Sun Drop.

Out of all the yellow drinks, Sun Drop is hands down the best. However, people do not give Sun Drop the credit that it is due, and I am tired of it!

Coming from North Carolina, Sun Drop is a staple. My grandma would always have it in her fridge and it was the best way to cool down as a kid after a long hard day of playing outside. I quickly realized though that Sun Drop was not easily accessible. When I would go to bigger cities or other states Sun Drop was hard to come by and still is.

Even today, where my school is in Raleigh, North Carolina, there are no gas stations that sell it. They only sell Mountain Dew and Mellow Yellow. What is the deal?

Sun Drop is clearly the best out of the yellow drinks, and if you don’t say so then you are lying to yourself. If you've never had a Sun Drop, let me lay out for you why it’s the best.

It has a nice burn when you drink it, but not so much that it feels that your throat has just been torched.

It also has just the right amount of tang to it that just makes your taste buds want to dance.

And, let's not forget, it has just the right amount of sweetness. It’s not so sweet that you feel like your teeth are going to rot out like they do when you drink Mountain Dew. You know what I’m talking about.

As you can see, I love Sun Drop with all of my heart. If you are looking for a soda that will check all of the boxes, go seek out one of these. It will not disappoint. Some people like to hate on Sun Drop, but I’m here to tell you don’t listen to them.

Drink a Sun Drop. You won’t be sorry. This underrated drink deserves a shot.
