Summer is finally here, and what better way of celebrating than listening to summer-ready acoustic tracks?!

Pop punk is one of those genres known for having upbeat, guitar-driven, songs, but sometimes, the bands in the scene like to tone it down and what better way of doing so than performing an acoustic version of some of their most catchy and melodic tracks.

These songs can be perfect for any occasion, and trust me when I say that you'll want to take these slowed down jams to the next poolside party.

Check out eight of the best acoustic songs perfect for your summertime playlist.

1. Seaway - “Lula on the Beach”

Seaway is the epitome of a summertime band. With their upbeat tracks and "vacation" aesthetic, Seaway is the perfect band to jam out to for those summer adventures. While their regular tracks are enough jams to leave you up all night, the band's recent drop of their acoustic version of their song "Lula On The Beach," proves that even slowing things down can't turn down the party vibes the band gives off.

"Lula On The Beach" is taken from the band's 2017 album "Vacation."

2. Boston Manor - "Laika"

This track is one of the more dreamy on the list, but don't let that deter from checking it out. Boston Manor's 2016 track is already on the gloomy side, but this acoustic take is even more melancholic. Whether it's because of heartbreak or because you're in the mood to listen to some sad songs, the band's acoustic version of "Laika" is the perfect song to listen (and maybe shed a few tears) to.

"Laika" is taken from the band's 2016 album "Be Nothing."

3. Hot Mulligan - "The Soundtrack To A Missing Slam Dunk"

After dropping one of the best pop-punk records of the year, these guys' sweet blend of catchy, yet, harmonious punk songs are the perfect cure to anytime summertime blues...and that goes for acoustic takes on the songs too! Hot Mulligan is one of those bands that sound exactly the same no matter the setting, which, makes them one of the best bands when finding a tune to add to your playlist.

"The Soundtrack To A Missing Slam Dunk" is taken from the band's 2018 album "Pilot."

4. Grayscale - "Atlantic"

The Philadelphia natives have perfected their sound over their short years as a band, and it's clear that slowing things down hasn't stopped this band. The acoustic version turned the band's angst-ridden track into a dreamy ballad that's sure to leave you wanting more.

"Atlantic" is taken from the band's 2017 album "Adornment."

5. Mom Jeans. - "Edward 40hands"

Much like Hot Mulligan, Mom Jeans sound exactly the same in any scenario. Whether it's in the studio or live, the band has that same energy and vocal power in all of their performances, and a stripped down version is no different. The acoustic take is on the more upbeat and tempo-ed side, and the perfect song to blast with your windows down.

"Edward 40hands" is taken from the band's 2016 album "Best Buds."

6. Waterparks - "Stupid For You"

Waterparks, much like Seaway, are one of those bands that are perfect for summertime. Even though the track is slowed down and not being performed in the typical upbeat Waterparks manner, Awsten and the gang still make this acoustic take a pop-sounding banger perfect for those beach parties you'll be attending this summer.

"Stupid For You" is taken from the band's 2016 album "Double Dare."

7. Broadside - "Coffee Talk"

One of the more vibe-worthy songs on this list, Broadside's slow downed R&B-inspired track is the perfect song for those dreamy summer nights. With an original, that's fast tempo-ed and upbeat, the band's acoustic take on the track is truly something unique and you may want to add the original and this acoustic take to your summertime playlists.

"Coffee Talk" is taken from the band's 2015 album "No Bones."

8. Sleep On It - "See You Around"

The Chicago punks in Sleep On It are known for their catchy brand of pop punk and even with an acoustic take on a song, it's still pretty catchy. Whether you want to blast this acoustic jam for those summertime blue moments or just because, it's the perfect song for any summer occasion.

"See You Around" is taken from the band's 2017 album "Lost Along The Way."

These eight tracks are perfect for any occasion! From summertime loving to the summertime blues, adding these acoustic tracks are sure to be the remedy to any adventure you find yourself in.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
