Many people today are against the idea of makeup because they think it makes people "fake" or "insecure." In reality, makeup is an art. We wear makeup because we enjoy it. We do not wear makeup for anyone else. However, with makeup comes negatives also. We may complain, but these things won't stop us from doing what we love.

1. Getting mascara on your eyelid after perfecting your eyeshadow.

You KNOW the feeling. You have blended your eyeshadow gloriously. It looks amazing. But you move to mascara, and get a dark black smear right on top and ruin it all. You can try so many different things to get it off, but it will never be the same as before.

2. Traveling and realizing you forgot your favorite brush.

This may not seem like a big deal to non-makeup lovers. But for us, we know the pain. You can still do your makeup without the beloved brush you left behind, but it just won't be the same.

3. Applying a full face of foundation and realizing you forgot to apply primer.

This is tragic. You already used so much foundation to cover your face, and now you can either remove it all, or suffer all day knowing your makeup will crease, slide, and show every pore. Either way, your heart still breaks just a little bit inside.

4. Forgetting to blend down your neck.

There you are going about your day, slaying the game. Until you look in the mirror and see a harsh foundation line at your chin. How many people saw? You can do anything to try to blend, but once that makeup is set, it ain't moving, honey.

5. When you just can't get your eyeliner even.

Thicken the right side, and the left is too thin. Thicken the left, and you have extended the wing too far. Try to clean up with a makeup wipe, and you smear the eyeliner all the way across your face. You might as well just give up and cry.

6. Buying a new product, throwing away the receipt, and then hating it.

Now you have to keep this horrible product you will never use. But, you can't return it so you also wasted money. Your wallet cries. And you might too.

7. Dropping makeup and staining your shirt.

Due to this, I have started getting dressed after my makeup is finished. I have ruined countless shirts by dropping my mascara wand or foundation falling off the back of my hand. Makeup is not easy to remove from clothes, and having to pick out a new outfit is just exhausting.

8. Being late to events because you got carried away with your makeup.

If I walk in with a popping makeup look and say, "Hi! Sorry, I'm late! Traffic was crazy!" I actually mean, "Yeah, I definitely spent an extra 20 minutes doing my eye makeup." And most of the time, I am not ashamed.

9. Forgetting to wipe makeup swatches off your hand.

I can't count how many times I have been asked if I burned myself because I forgot to wipe my liquid lip swatches off. I may even end up with more makeup on my hand than on my face some days.

10. Running out of makeup wipes and having to compromise.

I HATE washing my face without removing my makeup first. Mascara gets in my eyes, foundation drips down my neck, and I end up having to wash my face 4 times just to get it all. Makeup wipes are a must.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
