I've always watched cartoons for the comedic appeal, but I never really knew how strong some females that made me laugh were. I love a strong woman that enhances the show and the characters of it. So, this list of women in cartoons who are strong in every way, shape, and form, and, to some degree admirable.

1. Mrs. Grotke - "Recess"

This teacher from the Disney Channel show "Recess" was the teacher of everyone's dreams. She kept it real with her class by pointing out that the historical events listed in most books were all made by white men, and proved that white Europeans were actual immigrants to North America. But more importantly, she proved that girls can be aggressive and scientific and hairy.

2. Shego - "Kim Possible"

Okay, so, I know many people would expect Kim Possible to be on this list because she can be feminine and a hard ass. But we are forgetting about Shego, who is equally as much as a boss lady, if not more, than Kim. Not only is Shego kind of the brains that Dr. Drakken now lacks, but she fights his battles, too. And, let's not forget the times she has saved Dr. D from physical harm. Finally, have we not forgotten the time traveling "Kim Possible" movie? SHE was the Supreme Leader, not Drakken.

3. Lois Griffin - "Family Guy"

So many times this woman has kicked ass. She has proven that she is not just a boring housewife that is loyal to Peter. But she has her own political opinions, her own opinions on art, and she can play the piano. Lois is just a smart, classy lady, and she can physically kick ass. She's done it to many men and women in the series.

4. Linda Belcher - "Bob's Burgers"

Linda isn't physically strong but she does keep her family afloat. Actually, she keeps everyone afloat! She helped Teddy’s hoarding problem during Thanksgiving. Honestly, without her Bob wouldn't be as successful or happy as he is. She is an amazing Mom, she sacrificed her Valentine's Day to cheer-up her teenage daughter and she's an amazing wife because she always pushes Bob to do his best and try new things.

5. Sugar Mama - "The Proud Family"

A strong family starts off with a strong generation that came before it. Sugar Mama from "The Proud Family" is loving towards her daughter-in-law and her grandchildren. Her stories from the past prove that she could be just as good as a Major League Baseball player, as proven from the baseball episode. She's a better pro-wrestler than The Rock because she saved Oscar from getting destroyed in the ring. But more importantly, she is not here for anyone's mouth unless you want a sharper response.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
