Stephen King is one of the most notorious horror genre novelists out there, he appeals to all different age groups and is my personal favorite. It is no surprise that many of his books become critically acclaimed and popular films. I try to read the books before I see the movies, but for those of you that only watch the movies, I highly recommend you read the books too.

Especially for those of you that love "The Shining," the book has a bit of a different outcome. For all of you die-hard King fans out there, I am sure you have been waiting for the release of the new movie "It" since the release was announced a few months back. Well, wait no further, as it comes out September 8th.

The original "It" movie came out in 1990, the book itself was published in 1986. The original movie is pretty good based on the time that it came out in. It can be compared to scary movies like "Scream" where you know it is supposed to be scary but because it is old it kind of loses that effect.

I mean, clearly this clown is still creepy but compared to the new one it doesn't seem all that scary:

See what I mean? This clown will haunt my dreams shortly after I see the movie.

You might be asking, "why are they remaking a movie from 1990, have they run out of movies to make?" Well, in the book, the clown that haunts Derry Maine comes out every 27 years. Since the first film was made in 1990, and it is now 2017... you do the math.

The story is about seven kids, Bill Denbrough, Ben Hanscom, Beverly Marsh, Richie Tozier, Mike Hanlon, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Stanley Uris, who become best friends because they all have one common enemy. The school bully, Henry Bowers and his cronies

After being terrorized by Bowers, they all become incredibly close... That's when Pennywise, the clown, really comes into the picture. After children go missing and turn up dead, the seven friends have their own separate experiences of seeing Pennywise. They learn that not only can he shape shift, but he can also only be seen by children.

In this scene, Marsh is the only one that can see the blood. Her father thinks she is crazy.

Eventually they think that the clown is defeated and they make a blood oath that if Pennywise ever comes back, no matter where they are, they all have to come back to Derry because the clown fears them. He fears the connection that they have, the only thing that can defeat Pennywise is that they are fearless together. An unstoppable force.

And when they come back, it does not take long for the clown to haunt them again...

If you are a King fan then you are definitely excited to see the movie. I'll be seeing you in the theaters! Remember... We all float down here.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
