As I'm sure you already know, college is hard. It is finally time to learn how to do laundry, feed yourself, go to class, have a social life, and understand the concept of living on your own. Throughout all of that learning, your faith can stumble. It is possible to grow in your faith throughout college, you just have to put in the effort.

I have only been in college for a few weeks and I have already found it difficult to keep up with my faith. It is all too easy to sleep in on Sunday mornings and skip that evening Bible study. Don't! Going to a Christian University is such a privilege because I get the opportunity to meet some amazing like-minded people. My advice would be to get involved early. Whether you attend a Christian University or not, there will always be at least one religious group that you can become involved with. In my case, there just happens to be several, which has really kept me on track these last few weeks.

One of my favorite ways to grow in my faith is Bible study with my Phi Mu sisters. It is not only a great way to bond, but it gives you accountability in your walk with Christ. If your sorority doesn't have a Bible study, start your own! It's never too late to get a group of girls talking about God and their own personal experiences with their faith.

Speaking of girls, another fantastic opportunity that my campus has is Delight. This is an all-girls Bible study that happens with anybody on campus. I find this to be a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends and study the Bible together. We also have a YoungLife group that meets during the week as well. Many of us grew up with YL in high school and it is still very popular here in Fort Worth. So, as you can see, there is literally no excuse not to get involved. TCU has some incredible faith-based organizations and many other campuses do too!

Luckily, TCU is surrounded by several churches of all different denominations. There is a church for you here at TCU. If you are from another campus, I can almost guarantee that you can find a church if you look for one. I was able to find a church my first Sunday on campus and I ended up loving it! It was also only a few minutes walking distance from my dorm!

God is reaching out to all of us in many ways. In college, it is very easy to lose sight of Him, but it is just as easy to gain sight of Him. There are so many ways to get involved on every campus if you look hard enough for them. Are you going to run towards God throughout your college experience or shy away? That's for you to decide.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
