After a frigid winter with endless snowstorms, many people felt spring would never come. However, at the beginning of the week, signs of spring had begun to emerge. The twittering birdsong and seasonable temperatures were the first signs that a new season was upon New England. The wait for warm weather has ended, and now everyone is looking forward to working outside and enjoying the many bounties of nature.
The sound of birds chirping outside has been a sound many have been longing to hear during the bleak, dreary months, and now the prolonged wait is finally over. The warm sun—which had been obscured by the gray clouds—has finally shown its face to the world, shedding its light and warmth on the darkness to mark the beginning of a new season. The sun’s appearance has also brightened the moods of the people who longed for spending time outdoors and taking nature walks because they now can take strolls instead of being cooped up in their homes. Although it has taken months for spring to finally arrive, its arrival has caused great joy and happiness to the inhabitants of New England.
